"Japan-nii..." Philippines says nervously. Currently she's at Japan's house. Whenever they're alone, she changes -kun to -nii.
"Hm?"
"Do you have any mangga?" She asks.
"I do have lots of them. Wait here, then." Japan bows and goes to his library.
He comes out with one stack of japanese comics called manga. "I don't know what genre you prefer so I brought the best ones from each genre." Japan points out.
(Mangga or mango in english, then manga or japanese comics sounds the same.)
"Nii... I like anime and manga... but what I meant is mango po." Philippines sweatdropped.
"Oh..." he suddenly went gloomy.
'How did I fail?!' He thought. He calls himself the master at reading the atmosphere, and he failed.

"Baka..." Philippines muttered beside Japan.
"Hm?" Japan glanced at her.
"Oh, nothing." Philippines smiled.
'Did she call me an idiot?' Japan thought to himself.
'Did I do anything wrong?' He wonders, thinking hardly.
'Is it because of WWII? But I thought we're on good terms now? Could it be possibly because I did something wrong? What did I do? I greeted her well when she came to visit. She loves gardening, and so I brought her to the garden. I offered our best dishes and the food of her country that we can manage to cook.' He kept on thinking the things he did before.
'Ah... I think I'll ask Japan to show me cows. Does the cow milk here tastes any different back in my house?' Philippines thought. 'But maybe I'm asking too much?'
"Baka..." Philippines continues to daydream about cows and milk.
"Hn!!!" Japan felt a jolt. He went back to being gloomy.
(Baka in the Philippines means cow, while in Japan they mean idiot.)

"Kuya!" Philippines smiles.
"Nii-san." Japan says.
"Kuya!"
"Nii-san."
"Kuya Japan!" Philippines continues.
"I prefer nii-san." Japan insists, but in a polite way. "Or plainly Japan."
"But I want to call you kuya!"
"Philippines! You can call me kuya if you want! Or big brother!" America comes out of nowhere.
The two just stared at him.
(This happened decades ago)
(Kuya is similar to nii-san. Kuya means big brother.)
