Chapter 53

Calum's POV

We are all here at the cemetery for Hero's burial. Mom and Dad decided to cremate his body and be placed at the family mausoleum. I looked around at the place, the day is nice, the weather is fine. I hope Hero can see this wonderful day. I thought the day that all of us will be together is at our wedding. I never expected that it will happen on my brother's burial.

Mom held the urn close to her as tears fall from her beautiful eyes. I looked at my Dad and my brothers to see that they have blank expression on their faces. After the mass for Hero, Mom placed the urn at it's respective place. And that's when Mom kinda lose it, she started sobbing at Dad's arms. Michael and Ashton tried to comfort Mom too. Luke is still in the hospital, Dad placed a security for him. It's breaking my heart to see our Mom like this. She's been nothing but a wonderful Mom to us. She loved us so much, she gave everything to us even though all of us are just adopted, she treated us like her own blood.

I walked to my family and joined them. Summer is standing with Harry and Louis at the side. There aren't a lot of people at the burial, we decided it to be private. Only for family and few friends, and by few friends, I mean Harry and Louis. Ariana and Jace is also here with us.

After the burial, we all went straight back at the mansion to get some rest before going back at the hospital for Luke.

Summer and Ariana headed at the kitchen to help Mom cook some foods to bring later. Dad headed at one of the office to take care some stuff. As for me and my brothers with Jace, Harry and Louis are here at the rooftop with some beers.

"I wonder how will Luke react if he finds out about Hero when he wakes up." Michael says as he play with his beer bottle on his hand.

"I can't believe Hero is gone." Louis sighed. "I should have not split up with him to find Luke." Louis says as his eyes start to get a bit glassy.

"It's not you fault, Louis." Ashton says. "You did not kill Hero."

"What are we gonna do now?" Jace asked. "I will not let those people get away from killing Hero and hurting Luke and Louis."

"Louis," I turn to him. "Tell us what happened."

Louis looked nervous as he gulped. But I understand that what he has been through is a bit traumatic.

Louis started to tell us what happened that night. About them being surprised that Liam is the one who is gonna have a deal with them. About them falling into a trap and ambush. Louis told us that he and Hero decided to split ways to find Luke since Luke ran in a different direction than them. Louis told us how he was beaten up by Liam and Allie's group. Louis' wounds are still visible and a bit fresh.

"I have no idea what happened to Hero when we split ways." Louis says as tear fall from his eyes. "I heard a gunshot before the people who beat me up left me broken at the floor. I think that is some signal or stuff." Louis paused and looked at us. "Because after that shot, I saw them all leave the place. That's when I used all the strength left I have to find them--"

Out of frustration with the things I just heard, I screamed and throw my bottle against the floor, cutting Louis off with his story. I stand on my feet as I breathe a bit heavy out of anger.

"Calum!" Someone yelled my name and I turn to see everyone looking at me.

"Sit down, Calum." Ashton tells me.

I took a deep breath before sitting down again.

"I can't believe Allie and Liam did this." I say. "They've gone too far! Hero is dead and Luke is on a coma because of them!"

"We can get back at them, Cal." Jace says and I looked at him. "We will avenge Hero and we are gonna get them."

"I hope Luke wakes up soon." Michael says. "It's been a week since he went coma."

"He will wake up soon, Mike." Ashton says.

Summer's POV

Ariana and I are working here in the kitchen with some foods that e are gonna bring at the hospital.

"What happened is really tragic." Ariana said out of nowhere, her tone is sad and in disbelief.

"Yeah." I agreed. "Can't believe we lost Hero." I sighed.

"Hero is a protective cousin." Ariana tells me with a smile.

"Are the food ready, ladies?" Mrs. Wayland asks us.

"Yeah, Auntie." Ariana answers.

When all is set, all of us made our way at NYMH. It's been one week and Luke hasn't woke up or moved yet from his bed. The doctors says that Luke's vital are okay and his head has no damage at all, maybe it's just Luke is trying to gain all the strength he needs before he wakes up.

Later on, Ariana and Jace left to do their business stuff.

"Hey, angel." Calum says softly as he kiss the top of my head.

"Hey." I smiled at him. "Are there any new improvements on Luke?"

"None." He sighed.

"He'll be okay, Cal." I tell him.

"I just can't believe that this is happening to our family."

"Well, you guys are in a dangerous society." I say.

"I'm sorry, angel." Calum says before wrapping his arms around me.

"Why are you all apologizing for what happened?" I ask him. "It's not your fault, Cal." I look at him at the eyes.

Calum didn't say a word, but I can see pain and worry in his eyes, which I fully understand.

"Everything will be okay." I held his hand. "Luke will be okay."

Justin's POV

"What happened?" I ask the moment I see Allie and Liam at my backyard.

"We killed a Hood." Liam answers.

"Hero Hood." Allie added. "Heard he was cremated today."

"You moved without me and used my group?!" I growled and the looked at me.

"You move too slow, Justin." Allie tells me.

"We are trying to move fast here." Liam says.

I have no idea if I should be happy about this news, but still, they were able to kill Hero. He is a young talented mafia kid when it comes to shooting and fighting. So he is a big lost to the group.

"At least you guys now are amanos." Allie says. "They killed your brother, we killed theirs."

"Fair enough." Liam smirked.

"We ready for the next step?" Allie grinned.

"I called our new member in. He's almost here." Liam says.

"New member?" I rose a brow, confused. "Who?"

"Me." A new voice came in and I turned to be surprise to see someone I never expected to see in my house.

Okayyyy, let's have some cliffhanger in here. The chapter doesnt really make any sense at all haha. Sorry for that, I hope ya liked it tho :3
