As soon as I was able to slip away from Monique I went outside. "koko" shaun stands coming over to me and giving me a big bear hug. "shaun how are you." i ask once we pull away. "im so good in glad you've finally made it to one of these gathering it's my favourite." i smile at him.
Malik was standing near the bbq surrounded by men I didn't know he was swaying with blakelyn on his hip and had a beer in another. I make my way over to him. He doesn't stop talking to the men just slinging his arm around my shoulder his beer now near my face.
"this is Aiko she's blakelyn ma and my girl friend." i smile and they smile back. "it's nice to meet you all." Malik looks down at me. "these are my literal favourite uncles and come of my cousins this is uncle benny he was there when ma needed financial help which I'm forever grateful for." i look up at Malik seeing the appreciation written all over his face.
"and uncle lando he was my dad's bestfriend he really helped me and became like a father figure towards me but he moved to texas nearly 4 years ago." i nods playing with Blakes shoes. "how long have you known Malik." i look up at benny.
"I've known him for a little over 3 years since I've moved here from Minnesota." i nod with a small smile. "so I'm guessing you met through school." i look at Malik my cheeks going red more like we met through a good friend of our called sex.
"and how old you daughter." blakelyn looks at me like she knew we were talking about her. "she's 2 years 5 months." both uncles give is confused looks. "but that means you conceived basically as soon as you met eachother." spot on my friend.
"yeah umm basically pretty sure it was a few minutes after we met-" I was cut off by jordan who was here with Alisha. "they met at maliks halloween party and had a failed one night stand seeing as they now have a daughter out of it." i glare at him. "it wasn't a one night stand." i fold my arms.
"it was im pretty sure you expected to never see him again." he chuckles out. "give me my baby." i take Blake out of her dad's arms walking toward the beautiful group of women huddles together and the older ones with there little children.
"hi I'm Aiko." i say with a smile and they look up there conversation coming to a hault as they smile back. "April this is my daughter evie I'm Monique niece sorry if I sound rude but who are you." i stroke blakelyns hair.
"aiko Shu this is my daughter blakelyn." she still looked confused. "she's maliks." Alisha says and April's eyes widened as she stood up and made her way over to me she gave me a side hug so our daughters didnt clash into each other.
"I'm so sorry I didn't recognise you I have heard of you though it's so wonderful to meet you I live in kentucky so it's hard to meet my family you know especially with a clingy 4 year old who is still stuck to my hip all the time." I giggle."i completely understand try having a 2 years old who always needs to be held whilst also being 5 months pregnant." some of the girls turn around eyes widened.
"your pregnant again." shanice asks and I nod rubbing my stomach. "oh my goodness I couldnt even tell." i smile. "i know this dress is amazing your can't see anything it's from skims" I smile "what we on about." some of the male cousins come around leaving the olders to sort out the food.
"did you guys know aikos pregnant again." i feels maliks warmth from behind me his strong cologne with a mix of lemon and lime filling my nose. Shaun looks at me shocked."know what the fuck your pregnant." i nod "no one really knew though only my ma her parents and Alisha and her man's."
"is it mine." shaun says hand on his heart and everyones head snaps to him and I try to hold in my laugh. "i don't know I really don't that's why we invited you here I was gonna tell you privately were gonna need a dna test."
"aw baby why didn't you tell me sooner I'm gonna love my baby forever." i rub stomach. "your gonna me an amazing father." everyone just looked shocked "alright that's enough." malik says from behind me and I burst out into laughter. As I grip my stomach and shaun chuckles. "I'm shocked you went with it."
"oh god I gotta pee now this is too funny." i turn around to see maliks angry face his eyebrows furrowed his nose flaring and his jaw ticking. I run my hands over his jaw before latching them behind his head pulling him down a little enough for me to go on my tip toes and peck his lips not giving him enough time to react and kiss me back. I run my hands down his body until there both on his chest which was moving up and down from his hard breathing.
"it was just a joke." i rub my thumbs over his chest before walking off to the bathroom. When I walk into the house I see a man on the couch by himself I give him a small smile before walking into the bathroom something about the man seemed off he looked familiar yet strange like I've seen him before but I've never seen him.
When I come out of the toilet the man was gonna he wasn't in the living room the kitchen or outside and he couldn't have been upstairs because Monique blocked the stairs off after the last event were shaun got to drunk and through up everywhere.
"babe you okay you look like your looking for someone." i shake my head. "no babe I'm OK." he didn't look like he believed me but he nodded giving me a small smile and a smack on the ass before squeezing it and walking away.
