if the whole world was watching,
i'd still dance with you.
drive highways and byways to be there with you
over and over, the only truth
everything comes back to you.

jj clenched his jaw when he saw harry's instagram story, regulating his breathing like he had been taught to do when he got punched because this was worse. this hurt, more than anything. harry had moved on, and he was still stuck, waiting for him to come back. but he wasn't. he was on a date, posting it like he didn't know it would crush jj, make him just want to lie in the darkness and fucking cry.

he swiped up, fingers hovering over the keyboard. the photo was simple, two plates full of food with a singular heart, but jj knew harry. he knew him, it was a date. it was a date and he had moved on, and it hurt so so much because he thought they still had a chance.

he typed out a message slowly, fingers hovering over send before deleting the whole thing. he couldn't say it, because harry didn't care anymore.

jj didn't give it a second thought before throwing his phone across the room, turning away from the door, and allowing silent tears to slip down his cheeks.

-

"get the fuck out my house," harry spat, blue eyes fiery, despite how wet they were. jj laughed spitefully, taunting harry even though all he wanted to do was stop this stupid fight, to kiss him, to make it up, because he hated it.

"i'm not coming back," he warned, because it was true. he couldn't, not after the way harry had cried when they fought, not after how he had tried not to let the tears fall. his ego, his pride, they wouldn't allow it.

"i don't want you back. i don't want you in my house, get out," he yelled, shaking as he stood his ground, and jj felt his jaw drop slightly. they stared at eachother for a while, silent except for the heavy breathing, and then the sound of a door opening.

"harry, you okay? we heard... oh, hi jj," lux asked, unknowingly breaking the tense atmosphere.

"i was just leaving," jj hissed, eyes still on harry, whose turn it was to look shocked.

"fuck off then," he snapped, and jj nodded, jaw tense. he shoved past lux, slamming the door behind him.

"harry?" cal asked awkwardly, and harry shook his head, still staring at where jj once stood.

"piss off, cal," he murmured, tears falling down his face, wondering if jj felt the same, unaware the man was sat on the stairs, head in hands, shaking as tears fell down his hidden face.

"hello guys, welcome to our twitter q&a, we're basically answering twitter questions, if it wasn't obvious!" tobi greeted, grinning at how they all laughed at him. "we're going to take it in turns, to choose a question and then we'll all answer, ethan's going to start,"

ethan sat up a little straighter, smirking as he scrolled through the questions, landing on one he thought would be funny to ask the boys. "okay, this person asks 'rate your sex life on a scale of 1-10,"

the boys chuckled, and answered in turn, tobi simply giving a knowing nod, josh doing the same.

"what about you, jj?" simon asked, and they turned to stare at the boy, who made cold eye contact with harry when he answered.

"you know, it used to be really shit, but the past month, i'd have to say it's been a ten," he mocked, though all but one person remained unknowing of the cruel intent behind the words. the man in question, harry, blushed and clenched his jaw, giving out a fake, huffy laugh, eyes boring into jj's own like lasers. it wasn't even true. in the past three weeks, he had sex once, with a girl from a bar, and it was shit. he just wasn't into it, neither was she really, he imagined it was more so she could have just claimed to have had sex with ksi.
