Y/n watched as Kazuha chatted away with the person behind the phone. Y/n frowned, hearing Kazuha so happy to talk to them.

'Not to be selfish, but I don't like hearing him with this much enthusiasm talking to someone else...'

"Oh? You're in town?" Y/n's ears perked up.

"Let's go explore with Tomo while we still can! I'm sure he'll be happy to hear the news." Kazuha exclaimed.

Y/n stared at his back, not saying a single word, just listening into their conversation.

'Ugh, he sounds so happy to talk to them. I'm having mixed feelings right now.'

She felt her heart break internally, hearing how happy he is with someone else.

Her eyes brimmed with tears as unpleasant thoughts flooded her mind, unable to think of anything else.

He stayed silent for a moment before bursting into a series of laughter.

"Is that so? Alright then, I'll see you whenever you're free."

"Okay, love. I'll talk to you later. See you!" Kazuha bid goodbyes and turned around to face Y/n again.

Y/n looked away and avoided eye contact with Kazuha.

"What was it that you wanted to say?" Y/n asked nonchalantly, wanting to end their interaction as soon as possible.

Kazuha was taken aback, but smiled. He cleared his throat and gathered the confidence to speak.

"Do you want to go to a concert with me next month? We'll have a long weekend so we won't worry about our schedules." Kazuha explained.

Y/n didn't say a word.

She hesitated to answer.

Kazuha noticed and held her hand out of concern.

"Are you okay? Is something bothering you?" He asked continuously, concern plastered all over his face.

"I'm fine, just give me some time to think." Y/n gently pulled her hand away from Kazuha and turned her back, walking away.

Kazuha watched as Y/n's figure slowly disappeared.

"Did I do something wrong?"

A few hours after that interaction, Kazuha can't help his thoughts.

Ever since he came home, he'd been staying in his room for hours, overthinking about possibilities and scenarios, worrying about Y/n and what happened to her.

Y/n on the other hand quickly ran back to her dorm to avoid meeting anyone else.

She dropped her bag and went straight to her room. As soon as she felt the soft mattress, her eyes brimmed and immediately burst into tears.

Y/n covered her face with a pillow to catch all her tears.

"W-Why did I even bother? That girl is probably his girlfriend." Y/n stuttered, putting the pillow away and staring at the ceiling.

"It's hopeless. I just feel so humiliated." Y/n sobbed to her heart's extent until she fell asleep.

The next day, she was greeted by Yoimiya shaking her body until she woke up.

"Y/n! Are you okay?" Yoimiya exclaimed, looking at the girl who fluttered her eyes open.

"We've been ringing your doorbell for almost half an hour! Your neighbor even yelled at us." Yoimiya sat down as Y/n rubbed her eyes open, adjusting to the light since her blinds had been opened.

"What time is it?" Y/n sat up, stretching her arms in the process.

"It's 2 PM. How did you even sleep that long?"

Y/n let out a sigh and shrugged. Yoimiya instantly noticed her gloomy demeanor and immediately asked about it.

"Are you okay? Is something bothering you? Did something happen?" Yoimiya bombarded the young woman who was still half-asleep with questions.

"I'll tell you later, but right now, I just want to take a shower and eat something."

Yoimiya prepared a fulfilling brunch for the girl as she takes a long bath. Her eyes are puffed and red due to crying so much the night before.

Y/n let out a sigh and rested her head on the bathtub.

'What have I even gotten myself into?'

After staying in the shower for a while, Y/n finally stood up when she felt content.

After getting dressed, Yoimiya greeted her with freshly cooked rice, pancakes, and toast.

"Just eat whichever you want. Sara is coming which is why I cooked many foods." Yoimiya smiled, wearing an apron as she cleans up in the kitchen.

Y/n grabbed whatever was near her reach and started eating without hesitation.

When Yoimiya turned around, she saw Y/n eating rice without any life in her eyes.

"Hey, are you okay? Why are you eating like that?" Yoimiya put down the spatula on the counter and approached Y/n who continued eating without a thought.

"Hey hey, calm down! You might choke!" Yoimiya rushed to stop the girl who finally snapped back to reality.

"What's really bothering you, huh" Yoimiya sat down next to Y/n.

"You've been out of this world the whole time you've been awake, and it hasn't even been an hour yet."

Y/n continued to zone out, not paying any attention to her. Yoimiya let out a sigh and hugged her tightly.

Y/n flinched upon feeling Yoimiya's arms embrace her in a hug. Her eyes immediately brimmed with tears and started to sob.

"I... I just feel so lost about our relationship. And..."

"And, I think he already has a girlfriend." Yoimiya froze in shock.

"He... Has a girlfriend?" She asked, pulling away from Y/n and staring at her with widened eyes.

"Y-yes... I think so." Y/n replied, wiping her tears away after gaining composure.

"Aw, it's gonna be okay Y/n." Yoimiya breathed out, watching her friend in tears.

Soon, Sara finally arrived at her dorm with Thoma. Upon seeing Y/n's horrible state, everyone rushed to her side and hugged her tightly.

Yoimiya pulled away and let them have their moment.

"What happened?" Sara asked, patting the girl's head. "She thinks Kazuha has a girlfriend because he called someone 'love' over the phone." Exhaled Yoimiya.

Sara couldn't help but chuckle. "Haven't you considered that as their name?" Sara asked, pulling away from their hug to see her reaction.

Y/n's face contorted into that expression of realizing something. "Y-You're right. I didn't think of that... But I feel like this person is different."

"Oh, Y/n..." Thoma could only pity the girl, not knowing what to say.

Y/n sighed once more, feeling the heavy emotions she felt all at once.

For the rest of the day, Sara and Yoimiya comforted the girl through her first heartbreak.

Truly, Y/n didn't know what to do.
