the next day, my dad was back i guess? he mustve came home after i fell asleep. he was still sleeping though so i guess i had to take chester to school. i got myself ready for school, before going to get chester
"hey bud, time to wake up yeah?" i said shaking him a little
he got up, i put him in some clothes and he went to brush his teeth before we left, i put him on my bike and we left. i got to his class and he got happy, him and holly grew closer as the year went on and he loved to go to school and see her
"bye bud, have a good day okay?" i said letting him go
"bye tato!" he shouted, running into class
i left on my bike, getting to school 15 minutes late, i walked in to my class. the boys were all dressed up as ghost busters but no else was dressed up
"curtis seriously? late again!" mr clarke said
"you think i dont know? speak to mr wilson then youll soon find out why im late." i said going to sit down
"okay. i will." he said before getting on with the lesson

it was now lunch and dustin and lucas came up to me
"curt! can you help is with something?" dustin asked us
"depends, whats up." i asked
"we need you to help us ask max to go trick or treating with us. since your friends" lucas said
"hm. whats in it for me?"
"il.. il give you all my mars bars i get."
"deal."
we all walked over to max, i was dreading it because i knew how embarrassing these two could be.
"hi max.. im dustin and this is-"
"lucas." he said
"yeah i know, the stalkers" max said opening her locker
"no, no we werent stalking you.. we were just concerned for you because there are loads of bullies here" dustin said
"so many bullies its crazy" lucas said stuttering like mad
"is that why your wearing proton packs?" max said causing me to laugh, earning an elbow to my stomach from lucas
"well these don't function but i have this thing.." dustin said grabbing his ghost catcher "look, look, look. voilà! its cool right?" max gave him an what the fuck look
"okay. youve already embarrassed yourselves enough. aswell as me so please, just ask your question you so eagerly wanted to ask her" i said
"fletch shut up!" lucas said flicking my head with his fingers
"okay. uhm, we were talkin last night, your new here and you have no friends-"
"so i guess curtis is just non existent then if i have no friends?" max said with attitude cutting of dustin
"forget about this fucked up ice cream cone" dustin said
"im so gonna kill you" i said grabbing his hair and pulling it abit "these shitbirds here, wanted to know if you wanted to go trick-or-treating with them but i imagine you have better things to do then hang out with an absolute dickworm like dustin henderson!"
"okay, jesus curt calm down." dustin said
"fuck off!" i said scoffing then walking off
