After the conversation had come to an end, Olivia arranged some temporary maids for O'Leah. The maids wasted no time escorting O'Leah to her new room to get her cleaned and dressed for lunch. Olivia diligently instructed the maids to arrange things for lunch. She took exceptional care in adjusting the current setting of the dining room, changing flowers, vases, and even the style of tableware used.
In the process, she ignored the Archduke and her four older brothers as if they were non-existent. Her four older brothers got used to Olivia treating them this way whenever they stopped by occasionally the archduke was somewhat strange with this treatment. Over time her unattentive attitude was still unfamiliar to them. The Archduke and his sons, at a loss, went to their room to have a bath before lunch.
Normally, the two oldest Sons would stay at the mansion to take care of the territory but they were also required to go to war. Even though the war has ended for the past years they had to learn from the Archduke by following. The two youngest sons also went along to learn how to manage their territories.
Meanwhile, in the bathroom of O'Leah, she sat in the tub absent-mindedly. She suspected that Olivia was also Reborn. This was just a speculation she had nothing to prove that she was right but she had her skepticism. She had many clauses to support the speculation for one. Olivia would have... well come to think of it she didn't know much about Olivia.
Apart from always being gloomy and wanting to have the Duke's attention in her previous life. Olivia is different from what she had known in her previous life, something about that feels weird and gloomy she can't quite wrap her head around it. In order to know more about Olivia she wanted to start inquiring about information from the Maids.
“Big sister is so knowledgeable she learned many things in such a short time. I wish I could get along with her well, ” she said with a happy voice laced with fear. The maids who were bathing her saw her expression and felt sorry for her although they may not know her current situation they pity her. Olivia is closed off from everyone; the only one who is too blind to see it is Marian.
“Princess Olivia is a strong-willed young lady who seems unapproachable at first sight. She is kind when you get to know her and she has been managing household matters for the past three years.” a maid said only giving the information that is currently known to the capital. She made no moves indicating that she had more to talk about Princess Olivia. So O'Leah could only silently grit her teeth in annoyance at the lack of information she had probed and smiled brightly at the maids.
“ I'll try to get close to my older sister. Maybe we have many things in common. I have always wanted to have an older sister,” O'Leah said with a bright smile masking her annoyance and disgust at their incompetence.
She wanted to inquire about her four older brothers' affairs as well as the Archduke but she decided against it in order not to gain suspicion. So the rest of the bath time went by oddly silently and slowly. The Archduke, the four princes, and O'Leah went down in time for lunch. Olivia had just finished instructing the maids where to place the dishes and was about to send a maid to inform them. They all took a seat with O'Leah seated on the right side of the Archduke. The left seat was left empty and the first twins were on the right close to O'Leah. The second twins were seated on the left next to the empty chair.
Olivia took the other end of the seat which was opposite of where the Archduke was seated. The seat that Olivia took was far away from where the others sat, her small portion of food was placed there. When the Archduke looked to his left where he thought Olivia would be seated the chair was empty. When he looked around and his eyes glanced at the end of the dining table he saw where she sat.
“Sister, why are you at the end of the dining table? Why do you not want to sit beside Father?” O'Leah asked, pointing out the fact that Olivia was deliberately avoiding them.
“This is where I used to sit for the past three years for lunch, breakfast, and dinner. Besides, I'm more comfortable sitting at the end of this dining table. After all, I am not used to being around the dining tables with others,” Olivia replies, staring at Oleah. O'Leah felt like an abyss was staring at her in the orbs of Olivia.
O'Leah was a bit annoyed that Olivia had the nerve to talk back to her, she bit her lower lip and hung her head down in order not to expose her true emotions. She had to keep up the act like she had done with the nobles in her previous life. Valerio snared at Olivia's words although he wanted to irritate her. He decided against it because he wanted her to show her true face. He still had a shadow of her fainting in front of him no matter how he tried to convince himself that it wasn't his fault. How could he not think like that after what happened his twin didn't believe him nor did his father or brothers.
“ O'Leah let me introduce you to your older siblings. This is Erion and Derrion, your first and second older brothers, they are also the first twins,” the Archduke said gesturing to his oldest sons.
“ And this is Valerio and Aziel, they are also the second twins, your third and fourth older brother. You may have heard her name but I will still introduce you to your older sister. This is Olivia your older sister. I hope you two can get along well with each other,” Archduke continued to introduce O'Leah's newfound older siblings.
“Older sister I heard that I will be attending classes soon, I am not as smart as you and our older brothers. So can I get advice from you in the future,” O'Leah asked with a shy expression.
“I can not advise you much however our older brothers are. Knowledgeable so you can ask them when the time comes or you can ask the teachers if you don't understand. That is what I did when I didn't understand or you can go to the library,” Olivia answered, crushing any chance of conversation.
The lunch officially started, and they began to move their knives and forks engaging in family conversations. It was etiquette to not talk and eat around the dining table but in order for O'Leah to feel welcome they ignored the etiquette. If there was an outsider who saw this scene they would think that Olivia was being ignored. Well, it's quite the opposite. It's not that they excluded her from their conversations but it's just that she ignored them and pretended that she was not used to the presence of someone during lunch.
The only one who was trying to involve Olivia in their conversation was O'Leah, this went on until she eventually gave up on having Olivia join their conversation. All the while, Olivia was staring at them condescending, an emotion that reeked of terror flashed in her eyes and she quickly looked away. She did not want to be amongst them; she looked at them as if they were mere ants trying to swim in a bowl of sugar water. This look of hers didn't go unnoticed by Aziel who had a keen eye and was always watching her from the corner of his eyes.
Aziel was Disturbed by the look in Olivia's eyes; it was as if she had no motivation or strong will to live. Yet she is active like a normal person, it felt like she was like a doll but without strings and The Mastermind to move it however it wants to. They say the eyes are the windows to the soul, but if her eyes are like this what has she gone through for the past four years that they were away? Her eyes were like they could tell a story without any emotion, no waves, no fluctuations, and no desires.
