Chapter 16

Lucy and Natsu went to the living room and they both seated in the sofa opposite to each other.

"What about your second girlfriend?" Lucy asked. Natsu looks at her in wide eyes, but he immediately shifter his gaze at the floor. Lucy noticed that it's not really a great idea about asking that question.

"I-I'm sorry. I just want to know, but if you don't want to tell me, I respect that." Lucy said

"Her name is Rei . I've known her during middle school." Natsu talks about his second girlfriend. Lucy didn't expect for Natsu to answer but she stills listen to him out of curiosity.

"She became my girlfriend for the longest time I can remember. But she...she..." Natsu said and catch his head with both of his hands on his knees

"Natsu, you don't have to tell me. It's okay. I think you need to go home now." Lucy said

"Thank you for the food Lucy."

"You're welcome, I'll teach you how to cook next time."

"Girls, I take back what I've said." Lucy said

After her conversation with Natsu last night, she can't stop thinking of the things she has said to her friends about not having interest on Natsu. She really doesn't expect that reaction from him. He became a different person. The girls are walking down the corridor when they saw Natsu and his gang walking towards them.

"Speaking of the devil." Cana said

"What should I do girls? Should I act with sympathy? Should I just ignore him? What should I do?" Lucy said shaking Erza's shoulders

"Calm down Lucy. Just act normal." Erza said

"Act normal. Okay."

"Oh Hi girls...Looking beautiful today Erza." Loke said and went to Erza's side

"Stop flirting with Erza Loke." Jellal said and grab him from the back of his collar

"Hi Luce! Thanks for the breakfast this morning." Natsu said that startled everyone

"You two are eating together?!" They all yelled

"It's not what you think. It was just temporary." Natsu said

"H-H-Hi N-N-Natsu." Lucy said. She feels weird on how she acts like this in front of him. She never had been like this before. Her friends and Natsu's friends noticed Lucy's strange actions too. Lucy is really nervous on talking to Natsu in front of everybody.

"I-I gotta go." Lucy said and grabs Gray in the arm with her

"Hey where are you taking me?!" Gray struggle but still getting drag by the Queen

"What happened to Lucy?" Jellal asked

"We don't know. But I am sure this is because of you." Cana said pointing out to Natsu

"Me? What do I have to do with Lucy?" Natsu said

"Figure that out yourself." Erza said and the girls walk pass by them

Lucy and Gray keeps on walking until they end up at the stairs.

"What happened to you? You are so out of your character today." Gray said once Lucy let go of him

"Gray I need you to tell me about something! I can't get it out my mind. I'm losing it. I don't know what's happening to me. Curiosity is killing me! This is the first time I've been this curios in my entire life!"

"Woah woah! Your over reacting Queen..Hahahaha... Who would have thought that the "Queen" has this side of her." Gray said quoting the queen word, making Lucy back on to herself

"I'm sorry. I'm I'm—"

"So what is this about?" Gray asked and throws his hands on his pocket

"Do you know who this Rei is?" Lucy asked

"Rei?! How did you know-?" Gray said in surprised.

"Natsu told me it's her second girlfriend. It seems that, that girl leave a huge wound on his heart huh? I don't know why but I am dying to know who she is." Lucy said

"I can't. We've promise not to talk about that woman again. I can't break that promise. I'm sorry Lucy. Rei hurt Natsu so much and now that he has moved on with her, we don't want to see him again crying." Lucy looks down in disappointment

"Are you really that interested in Natsu? Why are you doing this? Are you planning on something else?" Gray said

"Huh? What are you talking about Gray?"

"We know you Lucy Heartfilia, the Queen of Players. Are you planning on breaking Natsu? Are you going all through this act just to get some information from him? Now that you know a hole on his life, are you going to use it against him? Let me just tell you one thing, he's not going to fall.... You are." Gray asked Lucy continues questions. She can't even spout a word. Her mind is blank, her heart is beating faster, and her conscience is bugging her. Lucy was startled on the last words that Gray has said. Gray left her all sweaty by the staircase.

There's a smirk written on his face as he went back to his classroom. Gray just gave her a hint about Natsu's plan. She re-thinks the thing that Gray has told her, which she is the one that will fall.

"What does he meant by that? Is my hunch right that he really is playing on me?" Lucy is having a mental breakdown. She slowly fall into her feet and tears started to fall from her eyes.

"Tears? Pain? What are these things? Why do I feel like this? Why am I getting hurt?" she asked herself those questions that she can't answer.

She went back into her feet and run towards the rooftop of the building. She shouts on the top of her lungs until she is satisfied.

"You are going to pay for what you have done Dragneel. You don't know who Lucy Heartfilia is." She said with wet eyes and her hands are on the railings. All she can think of is getting Natsu to his knees breaking and crying to her.

"This is the real start of our game. I'm gonna start with you Gray Fullbuster." Lucy wipes down her tears and fixes herself.

She went down from the rooftop and went to her class. She didn't care if she's late or what. She just let herself into the class room and gets Juvia on her wrist. In this class Juvia is her classmate so does Lisanna and Natsu.

"Lucy-san?"

"Come with me Juvia."

"But Juvia is-" Juvia said looking worried about Lucy

"Just come with me." Lucy said

"Excuse me Ms. Heartfilia but we are in the middle of our lecture here." The teacher said

"I'm sorry sir. but I will excuse myself so is Juvia Lockser. Don't worry I already know what you are teaching and I will just teach it to my friend." Lucy said and drags Juvia out the room. The teacher is speechless of Lucy so does Natsu.

"Lucy..."
