LATER ON IN THE PRESENT.
Red Son was sitting quietly in Pigsy's Noodle Shop with his arms crossed. He was staring at Mei.
- Let me get this straight... Our MK touched a crystal globe which made him evil and the two of you knew.... - Pigsy said.
This information is seriously giving him a migraine.
- Uh... yes - Red Son replied.
- AND YOU LET MEI CONFRONT MK ALONE?!!! -
Red Son was pressing both index fingers together.
- Technically,thedragonhorsegirlwasinvestigatingsooIdidn'tthinktoomuchaboutwhatthe
consequenceswereatthattime..heheh... - Red Son nervously muttered so fast.
Before Pigsy can reply back, a phone rings.
Red Son grabbed it out of Mei's pocket and saw Mei's mother was calling her.
- W-what are you doing, Red Son? - the little girl asked, who was once LBD's host.
Red Son hushed her as he then answered the call.
- Mei? - Mrs Dragon asked.
- Ahem.. Hello Mrs Dragon - Red Son said.
- Who is this? Where is my daughter? - Mrs Dragon demanded.
- My name is Red Son, ma'am. Your daughter is currently with me. -
- Can you please put her on the phone then, Red Son -
- Uh... I'm afraid she ca -
- Hello mother! - Bai He cutted Red Son off-
- Is this really Mei? You don't sound like her -
Red Son pushed the girl out of the way. - We.. um.. dealt with some spells which... uh.. caused her voice to change! -
Pigsy placed his palm on his face.
- Oh I see... Well then, will she be home today? -
- N-no! We have this thing... she'll be staying with me... -
- We're having this slumber party that lasts for a week! - Bai He said, helping Red Son.
After Red Son finished his conversation with Mrs Dragon, he started to make a plan.
- We only have seven days to fix this and return, both Mei and MK back to normal.. - Tang stated.
- I know - Red Son made a fist, holding himself from releasing his anger and frustration out.
Tang glanced at Red Son, with great concern. 'Usually Red would be making tantrums by now, showing his anger. Mei must be important to him as she is to us.' Tang thought.
- We have to tell Monkey King first - Tang said to everyone.
- You can cross that off your list 'cause I already did - the six-eared monkey said, appearing out of nowhere.
- Macaque! - Bai He exclaimed.
- Heya kid - Macaque said while patting the little girl on the head.
Macaque faced Red Son, - we need to talk. Alone, - his tail pointed towards the door.
Red Son followed the monkey outside.
- I've overheard everything. Yesterday and today's conversation, - the macaque leaned on the wall.
Red raised his eyebrow, - by eavesdropping, right? -
Macaque looked at him with annoyance, while his tail furiously thrashes out on the side.
- Look I don't want to have that intervention conversation right now. I pulled you out because only you can do this. - the demon monkey paused, he knew the demon has a question. He can see it in Red Son's eyes. When the boy did not say anything, he continued speaking.
- MK's personality spliced into two. The MK we know and the other MK we don't – which is the bad one. That's why it was hard to believe that anything had happened to MK since the kid himself doesn't even know it happened. I talked to Wukong about keeping an eye on the kid. Wukong's going to prevent MK from going inside the artefact room, while you go inside and find the source of all this trouble -
- AND HOW WOULD I BE ABLE TO FIND IT IF I HAD NEVER SEEN IT BEFORE?! - Red Son shouted at the six-eared monkey, creating the monkey to winced slightly at the high volume. (Minus the boy burning in flames. Red Son's powers disappear due to wearing golden bands that is caused by MK)
- That's where the dragon lady comes in. -
- WHAT?!?! - Everyone yelled all at once towards Macaque.
- Were you guys eavesdropping?! - Red Son asked at once.
- If Mister Macaque can, why can't we? - Bai He said in a matter of speaking that definitely made sense!
Tang then added, - yeah, what she said... Also what did you mean by "that's where the dragon lady comes in" -
The six-eared macaque sighed. - It's better if you see it firsthand... -
Macaque went back inside the shop, with the others' eyes following his movement.
He pressed his thumb on the still Mei's forehead.
- What are you.... - Red Son's sentence fell flat, after he saw what was happening to the dragon horse girl.
Mei was surrounded by light in the color of green. The rays of green swallowed her body, only leaving a silhouette of her with green outline.
The others were struggling to stand the rushing flow of air and the light was so bright they had to cover their eyes to avoid looking too much of the green blinding light.
Macaque's hand was still placed on her forehead, even with the wild wind blowing from Mei, nothing at that point can make the warrior's hands off her.
At once, the flowing wind was sucked inside of Mei.
The atmosphere was now calm again.
Mei's eyes glowed green and returned back to her normal eyes.
The monkey took his hand away from her.
-W-where am I? - Mei said, looking at her surroundings. Her face filled with confusion.
-MEI!- they said in unison, running up to her.
Bai He was the first one to hug her and then Tang. While the other two, Red Son and Pigsy stood beside them, checking at the dragon girl from a short distance.
With Mei getting her conscious back was a surprise, surely the demon monkey would soon explain it all, but on the meantime... What truly shocked them was Mei's next words.
- I'm sorry, who are you all? -
