Chapter 12

Daniel pushes max away now looking even more disappointed than he was before.

"What was that for? What ever you are going thru max this ain't the solution. I am by your side once again I will say as a friend. I can never be more than that. I also know you have feelings for Charles. So I am going to ask once again for the truth, what happened that made you act out recently?" Daniel says with a stern tone not entertaining the idea of being more than friends with max.

Max looks down embarrassed of what he just did but he also feels really unwanted at the same time.

Max takes a deep breath and looks up to meet Daniel's eyes.

"Charles on Thursday asked me to dinner at his apartment and he invited to stay the night after we were both tipsy. We shared a bed and also a few kisses and we were on the same page of feelings but in the morning I went to kiss him sober and was acting like nothing happened. I put my clothes on and walked out angry and the son of a bitch didn't even try to stop me. It really hurt my feelings he didn't give me an explanation for why he was acting that way. So that is when I called you see if you wanted to hang out." The truth finally comes out as max starts to get tear eyed.

Daniel changes from stern to sympathetic after hearing why his friend was hurt and acting not like himself the past few days.

Daniel pulls max into a hug and rubs his back soothing the emotions that are being spilled out of the younger lovesick driver.

Daniel realizes now what he has to do.

In Carlos's drivers room...

Carlos has been just scrolling thru his phone with his right hand as his left is wrapped around Lando who is currently sleeping like a baby on his boyfriends chest.

Carlos shuts off his phone and looks down at his now boyfriend and thinks about the romantic night he has planned for the two of them after this race.

"Carlos, they are ready for a restart so you need to get back on the grid."

Carlos sighs not wanting to wake his lovely boyfriend up but he has no choice. Carlos light caresses Lando's cheek with his thumb and sees the Brit smile because of the gesture. It takes a minute but Lando's eyes flutter open and he looks up to meet Carlos's eyes.

Lando doesn't think twice and leans up and connects their lips in a short but chaste kiss.

It takes Carlos by surprise because the have only shared one or two kisses since the started dating but both are so shy after it that's all they can do is to leave the situation but whatever gave Lando a confidence boost he has a thank.

Lando Hums in contentment and stretches completely ignoring the fact that every movement he makes is causing friction to Carlos in places. Carlos is currently biting his lip so he doesn't let any sounds out.

Lando stands up and heads to the door looking back at his boyfriend only to smirk and wink leaving after saying," just you wait until tonight."

Carlos sits for a minute trying to figure out how Lando went from a traumatized shaken pup to a sassy seductive man in the span of his nap time.

Carlos Shakes his head and heads out of the room to what he was asked.

All of the commentators believe that it was a bad call on the FIAs part to continue the race today because no one could race the same after the accident. It was like a depression cloud fell over the whole grid.

Max sits in his room after the race. He was put on a 2 race suspension because of him being too rough on the track today. He isn't going to fight it because he is actually agreeing that he was majorly in the wrong.
