The next morning, Y/N  woke up to the sound of her mother's voice coming from the kitchen.

"Y/N, honey, are you awake? Why did you sleep on the couch? " her mom called out. "I've got something planned for us today. If you're up to spend time with us today." After stretching, Y/N  sat up, rubbing the sleep from her eyes. She's surprised Freddy had not paid a visit in her dream last night. So she slept soundly. As she got up, her dad walked by, ruffling her hair affectionately.

"Morning, sleepyhead," he teased, a smile on his face. "Your mom and I got a surprise for today, you better get ready." Yuki looked at her dad, realizing she hadn't seen him in a while.

"Oh, by the way, Dad," she began, her tone curious, "When did you get back from your work trip? I didn't hear you come in last night." Her dad chuckled, scratching his beard thoughtfully.

"Just got in last night, in the wee hours," he replied. "I was trying to be quiet so I wouldn't wake you. Did you have a good week?" Y/Nsmiled sheepishly, then launched into a story about how she'd been feeling under the weather.

"Yeah, I've been feeling pretty terrible," she began, trying to sound as believable as possible. "I've had this cold all week and yesterday while shaving, I accidentally nicked myself."

She pointed to the bandaid on her cheek. Her dad looked at her, concern in his eyes.

"Oh no, you all right? That looks painful," Y/N's heart quickened, hoping her dad hadn't noticed anything amiss. She laughed it off, still trying to maintain the facade.

"Yeah, it looks worse than it feels," she reassured him, managing a casual chuckle. "Just clumsy me, as usual." Her dad chuckled, shaking his head.

"You should be more careful," he advised a hint of teasing in his eyes. "And maybe stop shaving for a while till you feel better." Just then, Yuki's mom entered the room, a warm smile on her face.

"Breakfast is ready, guys," she announced, waving them towards the kitchen. "Hurry up before it gets cold." Y/N and her dad followed her mom into the kitchen, the smell of freshly cooked food making their mouths water.

"What are we having?" Y/N  asked, her stomach already rumbling with anticipation. Her mom beamed as they entered the kitchen, pointing at the table where a spread of pancakes, bacon, and fruit were laid out.

"A little bit of everything," she stated, her voice cheerful. "I figured we could have a filling breakfast before heading out for the day." Y/N sat down and began loading her plate with food. Between bites, she managed to ask,

"So, Mom, where are we going today?" Her mom joined them at the table, a smile on her face.

"Well, I thought we could do something fun and different," she began. "We're going camping at Camp Crystal Lake!" The mention of Camp Crystal Lake brought a mix of emotions for Y/N , knowing the place's dark history and recent events. Still, she tried to sound excited as she asked,

"Camp Crystal Lake, huh? Sounds adventurous." Her mom nodded enthusiastically, seemingly unaware of Y/N 's unease.

"Yes, it'll be fun! I've heard the views and nature out there are stunning," she chimed in, already starting to fantasize about the trip. Her dad chimed in as well, joining in the conversation.

"Yeah, I've been there back when I was your age, Y/N" he added, reminiscing. "It's a beautiful place. You'll enjoy it." While her parents talked about the location, Y/N  grew more and more uneasy. Thoughts of danger crept into her mind. Nevertheless, she tried to conceal her worry and put on a smile.
