I took one last look at myself in the mirror. My eyes were brighter tonight. I looked better, happier.

Tonight I wanted to put my past with Dallas out of my mind. I wanted a nice night with him. A night where I could kiss him if I wanted to, without being yelled at. Without being berated like a five year old who go into their mother's makeup.

If going to Buck's party, which would be the first party I could remember ever going to, I would face the consequences with Keith.

I knew the party would most likely have cigarettes, alcohol, and violence. I didn't know if I was ready for it.
