"Athena?" The teacher called but I don't hear because I'm too busy zoning out while looking out the window."Miss Athena!" The teacher yells snapping me back to reality. "This is not acceptable! You should be paying attention in lesson and I will not have it. Get out of my class." The teacher announces angrily.
I don't say anything and instead just walk out. People in the room start whispering confused why I didn't say anything like I always do. Truthfully, I just can't be bothered today.
I walk down the corridor whistling as I try to untangle my headphones. I don't know where on earth my wireless ones were so I'm stuck with wires.
As I turn the corner still trying to untangle the stupid wire, I spot the principal walking down the corridor. As he spots me I widen my eyes turning around running back down the corridor because I know that he'll call my mum as I already have had 5 'last' warnings.
"Athena Chapman!" Mr Miller shouts down the corridor. I keep running getting looks from the couple people in the corridors.
As I turn a corner I spot the guys. "Help me!" I plead as I run towards them. "Elaborate..." Asher questions. "Mr Miller is on the hunt for me! Hide me!" I keep pleading.
I hear Mr Millers yells from down the corridor getting louder and louder. When i turn to see if he was coming round the corner, a hand stanches me by my bag and shoves me in a locker. A Fucking locker.
"Boys have you seen Athena?" Mr Miller asks. I hear them all say no and I hear footsteps fading awake.
They open the locker as I step out looking back and forth between the four of them.
"Who.The.Fuck.Did.That." I state taking pauses.
They all of course point to Grayson who's smirking. "You piece of shit!" I yell. "You said hide me!" He says back. "Not in a fucking locker asshat!" I announce. He rolls his eyes as Damien speaks. "Why is he looking for you?" I gave him a look. "Seriously Athena? You get sent out all the time. "Chris says looking at me. I shrug"not my fault the teachers are fucking stupid. "
They all laugh. "Athena!" Another teacher yells from the bottom of the corridor. "Shit! Bye" I say waving to the guys. I run down the corridor and run into the library. "Athena? Shouldn't you be in lesson?" The librarian asks. "I should be but I'm not I need to hide. You didn't see me." I say as I run from the door hearing her laugh.
TIME SKIP
it's been about 40 minutes and I'm reading as I can't go out because they'll see me. I don't care that they'll call my mum simply because I still have amazing grades it's just my attitude. So they can't kick me out but I can get in trouble with my mum. I've always stood up for myself and I've never let anyone step on me so she's use to it. Back in London she was always in the principals office because of me , she thought moving would maybe have a good impact on me but it's honestly made it worse.
The bell rings for the next lesson but I don't hear it because of my headphones. I feel a nudge on my shoulder. I turn and see Damien I take out my headphones as he sits next to me.
"You good?" He asks looking at me worried. "Yea? Why wouldn't I be?" I ask confused to why he was asking. "You just look sad." He replies. "Dude....i always look like this." I state back "true"he says chuckling.
"Comon we're late." He says standing up. I look at the time only to realise it's quarter past 10 meaning we're already 15 minutes late. I groan as I throw my bag over my shoulder and follow Damien out.
"How was the locker?" He asks laughing. "Ha ha very funny."i say back. We reach English lit and walk in.
"You guys need to get a watch"
The teacher says referring to the fact we're always late. We shrug as we take out seats. Him next to Valerie and me next to no one. We were able to convince the principal to switch that morons classes after the 'accident'.
I carry on writing down notes as the door opens revealing a tall brunette boy. He looks familiar. Do I know him? "Class this is Cesar ,he is a new student here and please make him welcome. You can take a seat next to...Liam at the back." She points as he starts to make his way up to Liam. I put my headphones back in and continue writing down notes. "Athena"I look up slowly to see both Damien and Valerie looking at me. They motion for me to check my phone so hide it under the table.
Damien: you looked confused when you saw him everything good?
Val: ^^
Me: I feel like I know him but idk
Val: from where?? Hottie alert 🚨
Damien:🙄
Me: poor Damien😭
And idk his face just looks so familiar but I don't really know anyone here soooo
Damien: maybe he's from London?
Me: maybe I'll be able to tell if he speaks 😭
Val: innit I don't even think he said hi to Liam💀
Damien: poor guy 😧
Val: Athena you'd probably get along with him 🫢🫢
Me: hell no I like being by myself
Val: rude
Damien: 😭
Me: 😘😘
"Damien." The teacher states making everyone look at him and his phone under the table. Idiot.
"Phone. Now." The teacher says putting his hand out.
I cover my face with my hands trying not to laugh and Valerie sinks in her seat. But of course us idiots make eye contact and burst out laughing.
"Dip shit got caught" Val says laughing. "Right you three out" the teacher says as he sighs. "Oh come on"I say looking back at the teachers blank expression. We grab our bags still laughing as we walk out the classroom but before I do I make contact with Cesar. I swear I know him.
There was only 10 minutes left of the class so we just walk over to our lockers.
After chatting people start to come out of the classes as chatter fills the halls. It was a fucking 2 hour lesson as english lit is a mandatory lesson. It was lunch time but we just hung out in the corridor because it got so packed in there.
As the whole group joins we start talking about random shit as I feel a tap on my shoulder. "Athena?" I turn to face Cesar. Close enough to see him properly. My eyes widen as my heart starts to beat faster. I take a step back trying to get away from him as people are starting to look.
"You.." I say " what are you doing here?" I ask still trying to get further from him. "We moved." He says. "Athena?" Haven questions.
"Leave me alone Cesar." I state not wanting to have anything to do with him. "Comon Athena that was years ago. " He says "she said to leave her alone." Grayson announces from behind me. He scoffs as he walks away. Out of the corner of my eye I see Astrid coming up to us. "Athena are you okay? I can't believe he's here" she says like she's our friend. "You think I want to speak to you? You're so blind Astrid no one here likes you. " I state with disbelief filled in my voice.
I walk off down the corridor heading for the roof top as all 6 of them follow.
