Wilbur POV

I was woken up by Tallulah jumping on me. She was rambling on about the election results and who she thought might win. We got ready for the day and headed out to the podium area. Tallulah and I found a few seats next to Phil and Chayanne and sat down. Everyone got quiet as Quackity approached the podium.

"Welcome to the election results!" Quackity said proudly. There were cheers before he continued.  "Now it was quite a close race. Coming in second, by only a few votes, is..." I got up as Quackity announced the second place winner and started walking towards the button I had placed. Tallulah followed me for some reason.  "BadBoyHalo!" I heard Quackity announce just before I got out of earshot from the event.

I don't know how much longer I can take this.  The guilt and knowledge of what I've done before. It's almost too much to bear. So here I stand at the edge of the island next to a button, my sweet Tallulah at my side.

"Tallulah, mi amor, mi Niña," I said.  "I love you dearly but I can't live with what I've done in the past."

"Papa.. you're scaring me.." I heard her whisper. I turned around to see her huddled to herself.

In that moment I saw my son. No my daughter. My son? Fundy.  "Fundy I'm so sorry I never got to be there for you," I told Tallulah, except I saw Fundy. Fundy then faded till I saw my daughter once more.

"Tallulah my dear," I started, "have I ever told you about a saying I heard once? A saying from a traitor, Eret. Have I ever told you of him? No matter. He had a saying, Tallulah."  I half faced the button and half faced my daughter. Raising my hand into a salute, I said the famous words I had heard many times before: "It was never meant to be."

With that I pushed the button and my world got filled with the beautiful sound of TNT exploding and panicked screams. Then everything got dark.

Third person

Four immortals are left standing within the ruins of what was once a beautiful island. The time traveler threw an ender pearl toward the edge of the crater. A once human now slime found its way toward the time traveler before bringing itself back into its humanoid form. The totem and diamond humanoids too found their way from their deceased loved ones to the edge of the crater.

Off in the distance stood two people. One a dragon-like child, half of their body covered in an explosion scar. The other was covered in soot and well on his last life if you would. As the four immortals quickly made their way toward the last two remaining mortals, the spirits of those now gone watched in sorrow at their still living companions.

Karl POV

"Foolish, Slime, Skeppy you guys help Tallulah. I'll deal with Wilbur," I said while looking at the battered and broken man laying underneath me. The three stood around Tallulah with Foolish blocking her view from Wilbur as he kept muttering to her to kill him.  "I guess history just repeats itself once more," I muttered.

I took one last look at the man I once knew in both this life and his previous one. With a quick and painless blow, I granted him this petty (despite its name) respite. (Respite: a short period of rest or relief from something difficult or unpleasant)

I turned back and walked over to Tallulah to find her wrapped in bandages.

"Everything is going to be okay Tallulah," I told her calmly.  "Would you like to stay with one of your tíos while we figure out what's going to happen next?"

"Can I stay with you instead?" she asked me while sniffling.  "And visit my tíos?"

"Of course Llulah," I told her. I suppose I could show her the ins and outs of time traveling. If XD would let me, which I'm sure he would. Only one way to find out.
