I wake up the next morning but the spot next to me on the bed is empty, I sit up with Bakugo cape still wrapped around me, considering I still have it with me I know he didn't go far. I smile a little bit and curl up in the piece of fabric that means so much to him. It's much bigger than I am, elves aren't small like dwarfs, but they aren't quite as big as most, I hear the door open and see katsuki walk in. "Morning, I brought some breakfast from downstairs" Kat says, he walks over and gives me the breakfast and takes his cape back to which I frown. "I'm not letting you get food all over this, and you can't wear it when we're walking, you'd trip over it and fall." He says placing the red fabric back on his shoulders, he's right, you both know from personal experience. I finish eating and we get ready to leave. We stop and look at our map. "Once we cross through this forest, here's one of the elf villages, we only pass through, avoid buying anything if possible, we go across this bridge and then the port city is here, we should have enough gold to convince someone to let us travel with them, it'll cost a heavy price though since it's that time of year, the sirens are particularly aggressive" I say and the others nod. We get up and make our way into the forest. "You don't think that demon is gonna follow us into this forest to do you..?" Kiri asks. "No, there's go much light here" I answer. Me, Denki, and Kiri all talk for a while, sho and Kat stay mostly quiet. As the day progressed the tension in the air was getting worse and by the time we set up camp you could cut it with a sword. The death glares Kat sent to Denki made me wonder if it was a good idea to bring him. I shiver in the cool breeze, the farther north we go the colder it gets which isn't pleasant. Kat wraps me in his cape again. "Oh hey, that color really suits you, it brings out your eyes" Denki says and i smile at the compliment, he's been saying stuff like that all day which is really sweet. I sometimes wonder if he does it just to get under kat's skin. just as I was thinking that I hear a thump, kat punched a tree and sliced his hand. I sigh and grab the bandages and wrap his hand. Kiri whispers something to Denki that I don't quite hear and the blond boy nods. I hug kat to try and make him feel better and he pulls me closer. I blush slightly as he holds me, my head resting against his chest. "I guess dunce face is right, you do look kinda nice in my cape, I guess" Kat says and I giggle a little bit, I appreciate it, he's just not very good at compliments. Kat eventually falls asleep while leaning against a tree with me still in his arms. I close my eyes too but my heart is beating to fast for me to sleep right now. "Kaminari it may be best you back off for a while, for your safety and Bakugo's sanity" sho says. "Ya I know, I just had hoped if I gave him a bit of a nudge he'd go for it, though I suppose baby steps is still movement" he says and points at us, that's the last thing I heard the 3 boys talking about before I fall asleep, unfortunately the downside of sleeping outside like this is if you aren't careful you wake up with the sun which always makes me feel more tired. I wake up and so does Kat, he looks at me and a slight blush creeps onto his face, he looks away and sighs. "As nice as this place is we need to cover more ground" he says and I nod, we get up and pack up, doing the math if we stay on track we'll be across the ocean as month 5 starts. We wake up, take down camp and travel through the forest, I put my hood up and keep my head down the moment I hear the town, it may be a small town on the outskirts of elf territory but it still was risky for me to be here. We make our way through the town avoiding whoever we can and we get to the bridge. To our dismay though the bridge isn't there. I notice a guard and I nudge Kat to go ask for directions. "Hey, what happened to the bridge that was here?" Kat asks the guard. "Some aggressive dragon came through here 2 days ago and burned it to ash, we have a way to get around the canyon but it's a week out of the way." The guard responds and I sigh, it's not like we have much choice other than to go around. "We could fly there, it would be faster to if I flew us!" kirishima chimes in. Me and Kat exchanged glances. "There's not nearly as many dragon hunters as there is in human territory!" He says desperate to help out. He's got a point, it would only take us 2 days of travel by flight, and there is technically less of a threat here, a week is to much time to waste. I look at the guard. "It's not a problem if he transforms here right?" I ask. Her eyes widen and she nods. Has she never seen a dragon? No there's no way, elves and dragons share a lot of the same territory. They fly over towns and cities constantly. Im pulled out of my thoughts by Katsuki offering me his hand to get on our dragon, when I reach for his hand however someone pulls my hood back. The guard sees me and immediately alerts the other guards. I climb on to our dragon as fast as I can. "Kirishima! Go! Now!" I shout to him in a panic, the dragon nods and takes off, it only takes us a few seconds to get above the clouds and out of sight. I let go of a breath I didn't even know I was holding. "What do we do now? The port city will be looking for you by the time we get there" sho points out. "I just can't enter the city, 2 of you go and get us a ride, and the rest will stay outside the city as to avoid the guards." I explain. "Why don't you just go to the fire elf king himself? He would probably give you another fire stone and if you ran away before you could probably do it again" kaminari asks. I do consider the idea for a moment before katsuki screams at him. "F*ck no! She is not doing that!" He shouts, if I wasn't between them Katsuki probably would've killed him. Kirishima lets out a loud roar in agreement with what Bakugo said. He knew what would happen if I went back, I would immediately be married off, although he was sure I would find a way back to his side he couldn't stand the idea of me getting married to someone else, even if I didn't love the man it still made him have a tight feeling in his chest just thinking about it. Everyone settled down after a while. Kat noticed I was shivering, being so high up made the air cold and the wind worse, he doesn't like being cold either but he was worried about me so he takes his cape off and wraps it around me, I lean against him and close my eyes for a while.
We spent about 2 days traveling until kirishima landed outside the port city, me, kirishima, and Kat made camp while Denki and sho went into the city to find us some food for the night. Katsuki made us some stew and we started eating, then my ear twitched. I looked up and noticed guards heading our way. I panic. Sho gets up and uses the ice part of his duo magic to make a small wall so we can quickly pick up our essentials. "That should buy us a few minutes" he says and we frantically grab all of our stuff, just as we finished picking things up the guards got through the ice and we took off running. "Where are we running to?! We don't have a boat!" I shout at Kat. "Oh yes we do." He says and points at a boat leaving the dock we run as fast as we can and fortunately we manage to make it onto the boat. I look over the edge and notice a man I didn't want to see again, the man with piercing blue eyes starring at us from the edge of the dock. He tipped the guards off. That's the only way they could've known where we were. Im pulled out of my thoughts by the cold feeling of metal against my throat. "I thought I had left this dock alone." A man's voice says from behind me.
