Smack

A wooden sword slammed into a dummy made of straw, however instead of the dummy staying still it swung it's straws around it's body like a helicopter's blades, a small yelp echoing throughout the stone room followed by the thump of someone landing flat on their ass.

"Readjust your feet, you're too stiff," Y/N gently said as he helped his daughter off the ground, "You want to be able to move easily, along with being able to use your weight to empower your attack."

Kunou grunted in acknowledgment, grabbing her sword once more to square off with the dummy. Purple magic surrounding the dummy as it started to glide across the floor towards Kunou. Y/N watched her stance, "You're overextending slightly," Kunou briefly looked down and adjusted her feet before swinging her sword upwards to defend an overhead blow of a straw hand.

"Good, keep yourself steady now, focus on precision not speed and power. This is just a basic spar, we want you to get it right now so you don't get hurt on the battlefield."

Kunou smiled hearing her fathers praise and kept up their practice. With each strike Kunou got better, increasing her control and power with every movement she made. Adapting to her fathers teachings with ease, she was natural at swordfighting, a prodigy even, and Y/N couldn't be prouder. He hadn't originally intended on teaching Kunou sword fighting but after she begged him several times he relented. If she wanted to be taught he'd be happy to help her learn.

If he had to be completely honest with himself though he was just happy she wanted to learn, he had wanted to pass down his sword fighting techniques to someone. He had just never found someone who he thought was worthy. But right now with Kunou showing this much promise while learning the basics, then perhaps he could one day teach her his technique, and then it will be their technique. And hopefully it wouldn't stop there, being passed down from him to Kunou and from Kunou to her children, and her children to their children. And if that happens then it will no longer be his swordfighting, but the Arie swordfighting. That was something he wished for dearly

The two continued training, the smell of their sweat mixing with various different spices and mixtures. They were studying inside of Hecate's home on Mount Olympus. Inside of which she had enchanted it to provide her with everything she needed, and thankfully for Y/Ns' purposes it served as a great place to train his three proteges. The room shaking slightly as Y/N shook his head, "Kunou I'm gonna go check on them, keep practicing on the wooden dummy, remember repetition and form are key."

"Yes dad!" Kunou yelled as she continued to hit the dummy, blocking or dodging here in there as she continued to improve.

Y/N peaked into the room where Riser and Issei were supposed to be training off dummies. Realistically Y/N should have separated them but he had treated them like adults and trusted that they would fight the dummies that were assigned to each other. Hell he had even made it a competition where the person who destroyed more dummies got one wish. He wanted to spur on their spirits and get them to improve.

But instead he found Issei slamming his fist into Riser's face only for the Phenex Heir to blast him back with a wave of flames. As Issei's feet slammed into the ground to stop him from sliding back, Issei then charged up a Dragon shot which Riser met with his flames. The two imbeciles continuing their duel as Y/N watched dumbfounded.

However he couldn't deny that they seemed to be improving, especially when they were attacked by the magical dummies, in those few moments they would actually work together somewhat. Playing off each other to blast the dummies away before reengaging man on man against each other.

"Well at least they're improving?" Y/N thought as he closed the door on the two idiots behind him, walking into the room to see Hecate watching Kunou closely from the balcony that overlooked the room. Y/N smiled and  using his power he flew up to the ledge beside her, Hecate's eyes traveling from Kunou's moving form to his as the two locked eyes.
