Aiden POV.
I opened my eyes to the annoying sound of my ringtone. I turned my head towards my phone which laid on my nightstand, and slowly took it with my right hand. Yawning, I answered the call without checking who was calling in the first place.
"Hello?" I yawned.
"Aiden! Sorry for waking you so early, how are you?"
This voice, Stephanie's?
"I'm fine and you?" I answered as I glanced at the time on my phone.
Six a.m.
"I'm good, how'd you sleep?"
How'd I sleep huh?
I glanced at the figure beside me and sighed.
"I take it you didn't sleep well?" She asked, she most likely heard me sigh.
"No, I slept well. I was just thinking about today is all." I lied.
"Yeah, I get you. It's the first day of for midterms after all. Say, don't you have computer science midterm today?"
Huh? Excuse me?
"Yeah I do." I sighed, how the hell could I have forgotten?
Today indeed was the day scheduled for the computer science midterm exam.
Today was already looking bad for me.
"Anyways, how'd you sleep?" I shifted the topic, I didn't want to talk about exams, I already hate school enough.
"I slept pretty well, thank you. But before I forget! Since I'll be a bit busy with midterms today, I want to ask ahead of time if we could you know? Study together at the end of the day."
Study together? Like just the two of us.
"Like just the two of us?" I blinked, could it be?
"Yeah, how about we do it at your place?"
My place huh...
"Sorry, but we can't. My mom is having friends over." I struggled to get the word "mom" out of my mouth, but I had to lest I gave her the idea that something was terribly wrong in my broken household.
"Is that so? Hmmm... then how about we meet in the library? They have private rooms for study groups if I recall." She suggested.
I thought back to the days where I frequented the library, sure enough it did have private rooms specifically made for study groups. I'd never entered them since I've never had a study group before so this was a chance to finally be able to occupy such a room.
"Sounds good, what time?"
"Like 4, how's that?"
"Sure, I'll see you then." I agreed.
"Alright! See ya!"
I tapped the red call icon to end the call and placed my phone on my nightstand.
My heart was beating, hard and fast.
I was going to be in a private room alone, with Stephanie...
Could it finally be time for my trash luck to shine?
Ah, my loner heart can't take this!
No, calm down. Gotta stay cool. If I walk there looking all awkward and stuff then I'll spoil the mood.
Ugh...
I sighed, what the hell was I even doing?
Was I interested in Stephanie in the first place?
