Rose shuffles restlessly outside Whiskey and Blues, wrapping her black trench coat around herself, conspicuously trying to cover her cleavage that's practically spilling over the sweetheart cut of her little black dress. Shifting from heel to heel, she scours the bustling streets around her, trying to make out Porco's familiar face. She looks down at her watch, and grumbles; 9:15pm, the show started fifteen minutes ago.

'Of course, this fucker is late, maybe I can just feign an illness and go home.'

It's had been five days since the open house, and she hasn't heard a word from Eren. There's a part of her that wondered if it had all really happened or if it was just some lucid dream. That thought would burst every time she looked in her wallet and saw the five bills poking out. Several times throughout the week she had caught herself looking up his number on her phone and going to dial it, her finger hovering over it in anticipation. She tried to force herself to call him, tell him this wasn't going to work and that he could come collect his money. But she couldn't do it, and she had no real explanation as to why she kept chickening out. She prayed he'd call her up with a laugh, tell her he had changed his mind. But he hadn't called her once.

That was until this morning when he called Rose while she was at work. She saw his number and immediately picked up her phone, her hands trembling as she swiped to answer.

"Hello?" she asked in a lowered voice so no one in the office could overhear her

.

"Hey you, I seem to remember us having a conversation a while back about you attending tonight's Battle of the Bands right? You're aware that I'm performing?" he asked smugly, no doubt with a smirk on his face.

Rose closed her eyes in utter exasperation and massaged the bridge of her nose, not liking where this was going. "Yes, Eren, I remember. What about it?"

"I want to make sure you come tonight. I want your answer for me by the end of the night."

Rose instinctually scoffed at that. "Excuse me," she said through gritted teeth. "I seem to recall that I'm the one making the decision about YOU."

"Yeah, yeah. Be there tomorrow at 9, we'll speak after the show," Eren chuckled smugly after the show.

Now here Rose is at the venue, waiting on Porco so she can go in. She knows Eren's band has a serious chance of being scouted by Porco with her by his side. So, whether it would be for work or home, Rose will have to talk to him tonight, one way or another.

Again, Rose debates feigning sickness, coming up with some excuse, any excuse to go home. But no, she can't, this job assignment came at the behest of Lord Tengen himself; Rose didn't need to put herself in a position where he'd reprimand her

'Porco's nowhere in sight. Ugh, fuck this.'

Rose gives one last thorough look over the crowd of concertgoers shuffling in line to get into the bar before letting out a huff and turning to walk inside.

"Hey Tweety! Hold up!" Porco's deep voice calls out to her. She stops in her tracks to turn to his direction, spreading her arms out, her brows furrowing in full annoyance.

"What the fuck Porco, you said you'd be here for 8:30 so we could grab a booth!"

Porco shrugs as he walks up to her, stuffing his car keys in his pocket. "Well, fuck me for getting held up," he rolls his eyes at her and pecks her on the cheek with none of the affection such an act would call for.

Rose shakes her head in indignation, "You're unbelievable." She spins around to walk up to security at the door. She smiles, flashing her wrist band at Danny, one of the doormen and gesturing to Porco. "He's with me Danny, can you get him a band please?"
