Mama and daddy loved each other. truly really loved one another. Mama got pregnant with me when she was sixteen. My grandmother kicked her out and told her to never look back. So she didn't. Mama and daddy packed up their things and left Texas to move all the way to Oklahoma. Daddy put his roots right where we are. Mama stayed home while Daddy worked as a mechanic. Daddy loved cars, cars were his entire life. He could almost love cars more than mama. I Remember their love being so strong that daddy took mama out for a picnic every Sunday after church all summer long. They would always go to a specific area across town by the river. "The trip is rough" daddy used to say "it's not meant for kids like you" little did he know I lost my virginity in the same damn spot. It's not a rough trip at all. It was Over the tracks, across the street from the local corner store. One Sunday a few months ago daddy and mama crossed their usual path...although this time would be their last. We were told their rim busted off on the railroad track. mama and pop would soon be hit and killed leaving us four kids to defend for ourselves. Although I was 20 when they died I sure as hell wasn't ready for life to hit me. All I could ever think about was the train moving. Traveling at full speed, so fast...faster and faster then suddenly

"CRASH"

I jumped out of my sleep. My Tank top strap hanging off my shoulder rolled up above my bellybutton. I was sweaty by the hot Oklahoma summer. I stood up swinging open my bedroom door. "what the fuck!" I yelled. Sodapop my younger brother stared up at me as he sat on his best friend steve. "Good morning sunshine" soda cackled. "Nice outfit princess" Steve whistled. I rolled my eyes as I picked up the lamp they knocked down off the couches side table. "Do you have any idea what time it is!? I have to work late tonight!"

"It's six o'clock Tex"  Darryl my eldest younger brother spoke from the kitchen. "What!?" I replied as I grabbed the clock off the wall. "Son of a bitch" I rushed into the bathroom where the toilet was being occupied by ponboy my youngest brother. "Do you mind!?" He shouted. "Texas!!" He screamed as he covered himself. "You guys are fuckin assholes!" I stepped in the shower tossing my clothes off behind the curtain. "How are we the assholes" darry called out. "You didn't wake me up knowing damn well I'm late for work!" I quickly washed my hair and my body. "That isn't my problem tex! That's yours! It's not my job to wake you!"

"Darryl I wake you every damn morning!" I quickly rinsed then wrapped myself with a towel. "Get an alarm clock" soda mentioned. I gave him a funny face "gee! I didn't fuckin think of that!! Thanks genius! Don't you remember!? I had one! a nice one too! But someone smashed it playing football on the god damn house!
!" I yelled out smacking him upside the head as I walk by. "Hey I ain't mad. I ain't the one late for work" soda stood up sliding onto the kitchen table sitting comfortably. I slipped on a T-shirt and jeans then quickly teased my hair. My last step was a sprits of perfume. "Get off the table it's not a chair. I'll be home later. Darryl you should come by, meet a nice girl or something"

"Yeah Darry finally lose your virginity!" Steve giggled. Darry rolled his eyes. "Don't worry about me Tex. Worry about paying the damn bills"
"Will do. Ponboy get that homework done by Sunday. I'm serious"

"It's already done!" Pony moaned. "Okkaayyy" I mocked as I jogged outside to my 6pm-3am job.

"Late again miss Texas!"  my boss buck sighed. "Sorry buck sorry. I over slept"
"That's not an excuse Texas. You're lucky I liked your father or else you would've been fired along time ago. You know Fridays are our craziest nights" he nagged as he filled glasses then tossed them down the bar. I tied an apron around my hips as I slid across the bar to enter behind it. "I know. I'm really sorry. I had a meeting with ponys doctor today and it threw off my schedule" I filled up a beer for a regular who sat at the end of the bar. "I understand baby girl but life is a kick in the ass" buck reminded me. I nodded as I wipe spilled beer off the counter. I glanced towards the middle of the bar where Dallas sat staring at me. I sighed as I confronted him. "What do want"
