As Cyril observed the hall, a deep-seated irritation gnawed at him. His dark eyes scanned the onlookers who were still engaged in whispered conversations, completely oblivious to the fact that they stood before a group of individuals who appeared drained, worn out, and some bore visible injuries. Every minute tic of his irritation was palpable in his voice as he couldn't help but remark to his inner circle, "Well, it seems we've become quite the spectacle, haven't we?"
"Perhaps, instead of ogling at us like we're some sort of rare exhibit, you might want to consider that we could use some medical attention."
His words sliced through the hushed murmurs, causing everyone to turn and fix their eyes on him. The tone of his voice resonated with unmistakable annoyance, and it hung in the air, making it abundantly clear that he was growing tired of the attention.
McGonagall, who had been observing the situation, immediately stepped in. "Mr. Bianchi is absolutely correct," she said crisply. "We will provide medical attention to those in need. Madam Pomfrey will tend to your injuries. After that, a good meal is a must, and also you all will need to clean, and don't worry; I'll make arrangements for clean clothes."
They nodded their head in appreciation.
“I believe it would be wisest to commence our reading tomorrow, considering the late hour.” She further added. Dumbledore agreed.
Professor McGonagall swiftly turned her attention to the rest of the students in the hall, who were still standing in a mixture of curiosity and confusion. She raised her wand and projected her voice with authority.
"Attention, all students! I appreciate your cooperation during this unusual situation. However, it's time to return to your respective dormitories. Prefects, please lead your houses back. We will handle matters here." Her no-nonsense tone left no room for argument, and the prefects began ushering their fellow students towards the exits, bringing some order to the chaotic situation.
Madam Pomfrey, the Hogwarts matron, stepped forward with a stern yet compassionate demeanor. She directed the future generation of students to follow her towards the infirmary for medical attention. Her sharp eyes scanned each of them, and she quickly assessed the extent of their injuries.
Some of the newcomers had visible injuries: cuts, bruises, and minor burns. Madam Pomfrey's skilled hands worked swiftly and efficiently, applying healing salves and conjuring bandages to mend their wounds.
For others, the injuries were less physical and more related to exhaustion and malnourishment. She recognized the signs of magical exhaustion and immediately set to work, administering potions to restore their vitality and magic. Many of them were suffering from severe fatigue and dehydration, and she provided them with revitalizing draughts and potions to replenish their strength.
