Chapter 15

Sabre walked back over to where M, Twisted Rainbow, Hypno and Assistant were. M looked over and gasped when he saw Sabre. Twisted Rainbow looked up and gasped. "Sabre!" He exclaimed. Sabre was still holding his own hand as the skin was still melting off of it. M ran over. He gasped and signed, "What happened to your hand?" Sabre looks down. He doesn't say anything. He hands M the dark crystal. M looks at it then he looks at Sabre. Sabre stared at him. He nods. M stared at him. He signed, "Aren't you coming back with us?" Sabre looks down and shook his head. He knew he shouldn't leave anyway. He was dead anyway. M looked back at the others and sighed. He turned to Sabre. Then he hugged him. Sabre gasped. M pulled away after a moment. Then he signs, "Thank you." Sabre nods. M walked back over to the others. Hypno grabbed The Great One. They didn't want to leave him behind even though he was gone. M glanced at Sabre again for a second. Then he opened the portal back to their world. Sabre watched them as they left. Then he walked off somewhere. He knew he still had to do something.

Sabre went back to Hex's lair. It was almost completely empty now that the prisoners were all released. Sabre walked back towards the cell he and Blue were in before. Blue's body was still there. Sabre walked over to her and knelt down next to her. He sighed sadly. Then he saw a small compartment on her chest. He touched a button and the compartment opened. There was a chip in it. Sabre took it out and looked at it. It had a bunch of binary codes written on the front and a strange symbol on the back. Sabre understood the binary codes but he didn't know the symbol. Sabre stared at the front. "Hmm. Project 8." He mutters. He turned the chip around and looked at the symbol again. The symbol didn't seem familiar to him at first. But then he noticed something on Blue's wrist. The same symbol was written on it. Sabre grabbed her hand and looked at the symbol closer. But then he noticed something. The symbol looked like a dragon symbol. Sabre looked at the chip. The dragon symbol was now clearer to him. Then he remembered that the badge he took from Hex had a symbol that looked exactly like the one on the chip and Blue's wrist. Sabre gasped. "Did Sam know?" He whispers. He looked at Blue again. Then he sighs sadly. He put the chip in his pocket then he lied down next to Blue. Sabre glanced at her again. He sighed and looked up at the ceiling. "You can't hurt us anymore. I guess she was right the whole time. We should've just stayed there." He mutters. He sighs. "But I'm glad we didn't..." He says. He closes his eyes and passes out.

Epilogue...

Someone was walking through Hex's lair. They then walked into the cell Sabre and Blue were in. Sabre was still unconscious. The person walked over. "What is this?" They asked. The person was wearing a mask. They took the mask off. It was a Yellow Steve. Although there was a bright glow emitting off of him. He knelt down and noticed the badge in Sabre's pocket. He took it out and looked at it. He stood up. "Hmm. Looks like I better return this to them." He said. There was a sun tattoo on his wrist. He looked down at Sabre again. "Enjoy your freedom, Sabre." He said.
