"So, our parents helped you fight these guys?" Kai asked the old man in front of him.

Wu had told him a version of the story 'The Hands of Time', a story their father had told them many times. Kai's father, Ray, hadn't really seemed to resent them the way Wu did.

"Yes. They felt taking their power would be to harsh of a punishment. So instead I had them create a very special vengestone cuff."

"Only one?" Kai rose his brow. "Why not two, one for each twin?"

"It was unnecessary as Acronix was taken in a temporal vortex, for unknown reasons. Only one was needed for his brother, Krux, who was left behind."

"For unknown reasons?" Kai assumed.

Wu nodded.

"Father always said 'Acronix didn't seem the type to hurt anyone, it was as if he were simply mislead.' I always thought it was just a story."

"I wish it were only a story. Then we wouldn't have to worry about Krux being out there somewhere, and Acronix's eventual return."

"What happened to Krux?"

"That is unknown to me, however I feel my brother may know his whereabouts."

Kai pondered on the information given. Lloyd was right, his uncle could tell him more about his parents.

He continued asking questions.

"What else did my father do, besides fight in a war, I had no idea even existed?"

"Well-" Wu pondered before beginning to tell Kai about near everything his father had done. He got to the part where he had entrusted a map of dragons to him.

"Wait, wait, wait. So somewhere, in our old childhood home, is a map that marks the resting place of dragons?"

"Of course. Assuming he hid it well enough so it wasn't found by anyone."

"Nya and I never found it. We were pretty adventurous kids." Kai sat back on his palms supporting himself with his arms.

Wu let out a soft chuckle. "So I heard."

A thud came from outside that rattled Wu's tea cup.

Kai fell back, Wu was unfazed. Wu stood up and walked out. There was some light conversation as Kai lay on the ground.

The door eventually slid open revealing two new ninja.

One in blue, the other in white.

"Jay?" The boy in red felt his cheeks heat up.

"Kai?" The blue ninja smiled. "What're you doing here?"

Kai adjusted himself to a position on his side, head rested in his hand. "Nothing much, just learning about how my dad helped save the world a few times."

The white ninja rose his brow. Was this that 'flirting' he'd heard so much about.

"Is he attempting to impress you?" He asked the blue ninja at his side.

Kai made some flustered noises as he sat up, or at least attempted to sit up.

Jay giggled. "Zane."

Kai eventually decided on standing up and brushed himself off. "Wha...why would I impress a nerd like him?" Kai pointed at Jay with his whole hand.

"'Cause you have a type." Jay responded almost immediately.

It sounded like Kai's breath got caught in his throat as he turned to the small man in blue. His face flushed a darker shade of red.
