Lloyds group made it to the museum first.
"Can we just go in?" Acronix reached his hand toward the door knob, anxiously.
"Not yet. We have to wait on the others, so I can tell Kai not to do anything rash." Lloyd shuddered.
"He is the type to do rash things irrationally." Nya shrugged toward the time master.
Acronix let out a groan. "I just wanna speak with this Saunders. He acts like he knows so much about my brother and I."
Cole's eyes widened as he looked up from his phone. Boy was Acronix in for a treat. Three figures caught his eyes.
"Oh hey. It's the others. How great is that?" Cole shoved the phone into his pocket quickly before heading down the steps to greet them. He stopped short seeing Jay's condition.
His eyes were sunken in and yellow, his lips seemed to be parted to allow his jaw to unhinge the way snakes usually can, his forked tongue flicked in and out as he took in the new smells around the group, his tail drug on the ground behind him, his legs were bent at weird angles.
To put it simply, he looked like a serpentine does.
"Hey." Cole finally breathed.
"Hey." Kai responded. "So you guys have an antidote?"
"Not yet." Lloyd joined the four. "I don't know what my uncle has told you yet, but please don't try to attack them."
"Them? Them who?" Kai squinted his eyes and smiled.
"Does this mean we can go in now?" Acronix stepped up beside Lloyd. He looked over the group, his eyes stopping on Jay while he winced. "That can't be a fun feeling?"
"It'sss not." Jay hissed softly as he huddled into Kai's body tighter.
Acronix turned to the boy the previous one huddled into. They locked eyes.
"Them, them?" Kai glanced at Lloyd with his eyes.
Lloyd nodded. "He has the unfiltered antivenom."
"Your uncle said he was gone, that he'd never return? Lost to time itself."
"Clearly that old man was wrong. Because here I am." Acronix bowed slightly.
Kai scowled as Jay let out a chuckle.
Zane seemed indifferent to the man. He didn't really understand what a legend was, thinking it was a special story.
"Can you brew the antidote?" Zane asked.
"I cannot. And unless this Saunders is all he's cracked up to be, were out of luck." Acronix looked at Lloyd.
"Kai!" Nya smiled as she walked to her brother.
Kai extended an arm and pulled her in closely.
"Use both arms. I can stand." Jay placed a clawed hand to Kai's peck.
Kai let Jay go, watching him carefully for any issue with balance. When Jay was steady, Kai embrace this sister tightly.
"I was so worried." Kai tightened his grip. "I'm so glad you're okay."
"Aw. Kai, I'm glad you're glad." Nya looked toward the time master, remembering the scowl her brother had given him. "Acronix got me out of a sticky situation."
Kai seemed to snap up a bit and looked toward him.
Acronix gave a soft smile. "They were this close." He held his fingers and inch apart. "I wasn't gonna let them get her."
