"Hey" Joel came up behind you in the kitchen while you were at the stove. He buried his face in your neck pushing your hair to the side with one hand. The other was holding your waist. "Now?" You replied with a chuckle. You and Joel had been together for almost 6 years and you had long since learned his habits, and non verbal communication. "Do you want me to burn your dinner?" Joel reached from behind you to turn off the stove and move the pan. "Yes now." He said in a low voice l, spinning you around to face him. Joel fumbled with his belt and let his pants fall to the ground. You were now stripped down to just a pair of panties. Joel lunged foreword to cage you in. "No no it's fine! I didn't either-it just happened it's not your fault" Joel still had concerned puppy dog eyes. "Your app not tell you it was coming?" You shook your head. "No I. I must be early or something" Joel paused for a moment. "Think you could be pregnant?" The thought gave you some anxiety "gosh... hadn't thought of that...is that even part of the early symptoms?" Joel shrugged. "Sarah's mom had cramps for a while early on. Said they felt like she was on her period." Joel noticed your breathing change. "Hey hey, slow down. You're alright. Im sorry I brought it up, it's probably just your period, and if it's not we'll figure it out. You and I always do baby." Joel was right, in fact Joel was an incredibly supportive partner. Joel put his clothes back on and you did the same, just in time too, because Sarah came back from her play date not a minute later. She opened the door with a bang, impressive your a 7 year old you thought. "Hey baby" Joel greeted her and walked over to the door to wave to the mom who had dropped her off to let her know Sarah got in safely. "Hey daddy. What's for dinner?" She skipped into the kitchen and peered at the pan on the stove. "Sausage and vegetables" you replied. "Okay" she said brightly and scampered up to her room. Joel just shook his head and smiled. You walked over to him and he wrapped his arms around you. "I know sweetheart." Was all he said. "To be honest babe, I've been thinking about what it would be like to give Sarah a sibling" Joel pulled away to look you in the eye. " yeah?" There was a sparkle in his eye. Something told you he had secretly wanted the for some time. "Yeah" you replied with a peck in his cheek.
