-2 hours before hand-

I began walking out of the station without looking back. The stairs exiting the train station only around 10 meters down the long underground passage. Passing through the fare gates only a few moments before surprising wasn't even worrisome, the two mini doors just opened up for me. I do question why it did let me through without tapping off but I didn't complain. I'm just glad I didn't have to walk up to the service desk to try to explain how I had conveniently lost my transportation card while on the train. I sighed deeply.'Of course, I ended up in Japan of all places in mha. This is bad. I'm right in the middle of where everything will happen within the coming years. Just my damn luck.' Then without noticing, I walked straight into a presumably middle-aged woman because of my stupidity of not looking where I was going. The grocery bags she was holding dropped from her hands, scattering items everywhere across the train station floor. I looked up and saw the shock pasted on the woman's face.

"I am so sorry Miss! I should have been paying more attention to where I was going," I stated while kneeling down as fast as I could to begin collecting her scattered groceries. "It's perfectly fine my child, it happens to the best of us," she said while kneeling down herself to help pick up the groceries.

'She speaks English. I didn't expect to meet someone who could in public straight away,' I thought.

"By the way your English is so well-spoken," I complimented the woman.

"My what? Sorry child but I am speaking Japanese and so are you. Is everything okay?" she asked obviously concerned about my condition. "Oh, ugh, silly me. I forgot I swapped over to Japanese. The price you have to pay for knowing more than one language am I right?" I replied fake smiling at the nice lady as we gathered up the last of her items into the shopping bags. 'I know I had my few instances of trying to learn Japanese from being into anime and manga but I wasn't that good, plus why did she sound like we were sp- Oh the language information code thingy from the vest guy. Japan is my country of origin as I have been transported here, why didn't I realise sooner,' I scolded myself internally while keeping the same kind expression on my face for the lady. I stood up again and held out my hand to help the lady up, surprise yet gratefulness expressed through her sweet closed smile and eyes while I pulled her up onto her feet.

"Thank you, my child," she said with a slight bow. "Unfortunately for me, I only know Japanese, it sounds hard though sweetheart. I hope you get used to swapping between the two eventually and thank you again for helping me pick up my items," she said jogging towards the pay fare gates that lead back to the train platform's escalators. 'She seemed like she was in a hurry. Shoot! I probably made her late for her train. Poor lady,' I said in my head as guilt caught up to me.
