Prophecy - Neuvillette X Reader

"Such is the life of a Trailblazer. Like Akivili, we traverse an unknown path." The red haired lady says quickly to herself, admiring the sea of the stars outside the window.

"Himeko, the Express is moving to its next location. A Stellaron has been detected nearby."

"Akivili, does this dream have any connection to the one I dreamt a week ago?" I mumble out, lifting myself out my desk.

Seems like I fell asleep at my desk yet again. "Stellaron. What could it be if they are detecting its presence? It must be an object of some importance. Not only that, a Trailblazer must be a person who follow in the footsteps of Akivili. That must mean Akivili is a person, but what exactly did they do to have people follow an unknown path?" These two dreams must be sending me a message.

The soft knocking on the door disrupts my thoughts, followed by the interrupter announcing who they are. Quickly walking over to the door, I open it for Neuvillette. "Chief Justice, Monsieur Neuvillette. What can I do for you?" Opening the door widen so he can enter, I close the door to prevent eavesdroppers from listening in.

He seems to hesitate before replying. "Lady Furina has been worried about my workload, after every trial I'll write a detailed report explaining what happened. She said that if I needed, I could ask you to assist me. Considering we are both judges, she says that we may sometimes need to work together on such things." He takes a breath, as if rethinking his words.

"I do hesitate asking so much of you as many of the Melusine have told me lots about you including how much time you put towards the pursuit of knowledge. I don't expect you to agree to such a condition that may take time away from your research. Yet, I agree that we should be in correspondence as we are sharing the work between us. I will be willing to let you have days off if you wish." Neuvillette explains to me, how he does so tells me he has thought this idea on his own before coming here.

It is a reasonably idea, Furina has always been one to worry about her people in secret. My research is the only factor that may hinder this. I have spent many years finding a way to safely separate the fusion of Pneuma and Ousia as to not trigger a reaction. But the dreams I've been having recently have made me what to investigate the matter.

"I'll be happy to help. My research has been more of a hobby, it shouldn't be a hindrance to the arrangement. I also agree that we should be in correspondence as every trial is important. If it helps at all, I'll arrange someone to write down the happenings of any trial I oversee." I tell him, already starting to write a letter for a scribe.

"Very well, I thank you for agreeing. There's only one trial scheduled for today, if you are able to arrange for someone to note down everything that is said in the trial, that would be much appreciated. Also, Everallin wanted to ask if you were free for lunch today. Since you don't have any trials to oversee for today, I told her you'll be there. Sorry if this has created any inconvenience." He informs me.

"I'll be happy to join her for lunch, it's no inconvenience at all. You seem close with the Melusine, Monsieur Neuvillette. Any particular reason?" Most people are kind and respectful to the small race, but few are close with them.

Neuvillette seems taken back by my question. "You could say that I'm close with them because I was the one who brought them to the surface."

"Everallin, what is Monsieur Neuvillette to the Melusine?" I ask the grey skinned Melsuine.

The small café we decide to go to is where a lot of the Melusine who stay in the Court of Fontaine like to eat at. "Monsieur Neuvillette? Why are you asking about him?" She continues devouring the plate of sweets we ordered.
