Prophecy - Neuvillette X Reader

Author notes: alrighty, we're here. let's fucking go. I'm going to start with a bit of story then do a whole character profile styled like an actual genshin character. It will give a little context to you all and idk, I find it fun to make characters up. Hope you enjoy.

17 years before the Traveler sets of for Mondstadt; Hydro Archon Furina's POV.

"Boring! I swear these trials just get more and more uninteresting. Why can't we find one that actually peaks my interest." I mumble out as I exit the Opera Epiclese, the Fountain of Lucine delicately drowns out the sounds of the muttering of my people.

Despite that, I still hear one particular muttering. Glancing beside me, there's a small girl sitting in the small area away from the door. The various books that surround her are opened to all sorts of pages, the girl seem to be reading all of them, muttering away. Walking over to her, I begin to make out the words she's saying and can vaguely read what's in the books. Pneuma and Ousia, the two opposing energies that can be used through the Arkhe system. "Excuse me, little one. But aren't you a little too young to understand this stuff?" I ask the small girl.

The small girl has such a vibrant colour of deep emerald green hair, the way it's styled hides the left side of her face before swooping up into a gold, floral hair clasp to join the rest of the hair in the ponytail that barely reaches her shoulders. She wears a vibrant green long tailcoat, similar to the one I wear, that is only a few shades darker than her hair, embroidered with gold swirls and floral patterns. The tailcoat ends in five sections that curl upwards, like the petals of a flowers but upsides down. The small, black skirt she wears underneath is paired with black stockings and green shoes accented with gold.

As she turns to face me, I notice the green, frilly bowtie she wears on top of the white shirt that barely shows under the tailcoat. At the centre of the bowtie is an Ousia aligned vision, the Dendro symbols shines clearly in that green jewel. Yet that isn't the most unusual thing about her. I get a good look at her pale face to be met with eyes as blue as the waters of Fontaine. In contrast to the striking blue colour, the is a swirl of green in the bottom of those blue eyes, like a group of leaves floating in the clear waters.

"My father is one of the lead engineers that focus on the Arkhe system. He was here yesterday to do maintainence work on the Oratrice Mecanique d'Analyse Cardinale. He often does experiments at home to find a way for Pneuma and Ousia to coexist near each other. It never works though." The small girl speaks in a soft, gloomy voice.

Noticing the notebook in the girl's hand, I see that a name is written there with lots so words surrounding it. "Are you doing research on the Arkhe system to help your father?" Why was she here all alone.

"No. My older half sister died yesterday as a result of a Pneuma and Ousia combined reaction that exploded her body, I'm trying to figure out how those energies got in her body in the first place and why they were stable until yesterday. I want to know how to stop such a reaction so it never does that to anyone again. I wasn't close to her, I only met her the same day she died. But no one should die a death like that." She tells me in a dispassionate voice that reminds me of the Chief Justice.

This girl was so calm, it was quite unnerving. "Wouldn't you be more comfortable doing this research at home? There's a trial starting soon. It may get noisy here." How could she work in this condition, a family member died and she seems content to research in such a public place.

"It's noisier at home, my older half brother Maxius and my father have been non stop arguing since it happened. I didn't even get the chance to show them that I received a vision. Not that they would care anyway. My brother wants me to go live with him so my father stops treating me like an experiment. I don't fully understand what happened after Ceciline exploded since I passed out from the shock, my father wants me to stay so he can observe my behaviour." I stare in shock at how calm she is as she explains.

"At first I thought it was because he wanted to know how I would cope after the event but Maxius said that I should be far away so what happened to Ceciline isn't repeated like it has in the past. I have currently come to the conclusion that my father somehow knows how it happened and I believe he is responsible for the incident and that it may happen to Maxius and myself." The small girl says, organising her books so she can carry them. "If it's okay with you, can I stay with you for a while, kind lady. I rather not got home for my own safety."

This girl, what should I do with her. "I-I, umm, I suppose so. However I have another trial to observe." Is it possible that the Dendro vision she got somehow made her wise enough to understand the situation she is.

She is apart of my people and I'm their Archon. Surely it's fine for her to be with me, for her safety. "I'm happy to sit in the trial with you, it will give me a chance to observe the Oratrice Mecanique d'Analyse Cardinale. I have only ever seen it motionless." She says with a distant smile on her face. "Not only that, I should be able to expand my knowledge with the information I may learn."

So young, yet already has a way around words. A pity she'll never get a chance to experience a better childhood. "Okay, you may call me Lady Furina." I give the girl a small smile.

"Nice to meet you Lady Furina. My name is Amaryllis. Have you heard of the Prophecy?"

Starting off with a short chapter, I will next work on the character profile for Amaryllis. Then the actual story will start. In this particular chapter Amaryllis is 6. The rest of the story will be during Teyvat present day when the Traveler is searching for the lost sibling. Which twin should I use? Aether or Lumine? I plan to use Lumine because I choose Lumine for her higher atk stats. but if the majority want Aether then I'll do that. Leave a comment which twin you'll prefer in the story.
