Has it been weeks? Has it been months? You didn't know how empty a winter could feel in your skin. Or is it just the coldness of the room that you mistook for the coldness of your heart?

It's nearing the end of spring, should be burning hot, yet you ached in the cold with frost bites of what memories remain in your body. Or maybe your office room A/C decided to work for once in every blue moon.

Being an executive does offer you a private sanctuary away from other people. Even if the room is closed off with a bipolar air conditioning system and a desk too small and too wobbly to write on. Doing night shift like this tends to bring too much loneliness, but you enjoyed the solitude it gave you. The quietness and soft beats of music in your ears keep the silence from consuming you too much. But that's okay, even if it means being stable. If the job means to regain your balance, by all means, you'd wreck your social life for it.

But your friend won't let you.

The soft buzzing of your phone flicks your attention away from your messy piles of papers. Stinging eyes from keeping it open too long, you took a moment to let the call register on the screen. 'Mina-chan <3', you sincerely hoped no more of her enthusiastic calls again. That's saying with all the love because sometimes it's hard to keep up with her... and whatever's wrong with her that you love. "You are coming with us, y/n."

No hello's, hi's? Just coming? where? who? why?

"I don't wanna," You answered, hoping to diffuse whatever plan.

"Too bad."

Before you knew it, you were on the way to New York with your friends. You folded, folded faster when she said she'll be paying all the expenses if it means getting you out. And she meant it.

I should be ashamed of myself-

"Y/n, this is for your own good. You need to get your head out of work before you drown in them."

Mina stated. She has been your best coworker and your best friend. You were a bit older than your friend, but the age gap did not stop the girl from being your closest friend. Ever since you moved into the agency, she had been such a sweetheart.

"And get over that prick already."

Ochako added beside the seat from Mina. They were friends back in high school. Even though you both had met because of Mina, she was supportive throughout your lives. However, in the latest event of your ex-boyfriend dumping you after he 'cannot handle' your family and you in general, the girls had set you up for this fine trip.

Or not.

"When we get there, me and Ochako are gonna make sure you get your head out of your misery,"
Said Mina as she handed you a glass of wine from the flight attendant.

"I'm not that miserable ladies, I feel so..insulted," You said as you lumped back into your seat.

"We mean no offense, y/n."
Ochako said as she quietly chuckled at your statement.

"Bakugou, Kirishima, and Sero will meet us at the hotel, and the rest is with Deku already at their own hotel," Mina said as she checked her phone.

"What are you basically planning here?"

You ask as you look over at the pink-skinned girl.

"You'll see y/n babe, you'll see veryy soon."
You chuckled at her teasing tone. Even if the thrill of it was fun, you want to know what drives them to travel in such a big group.

Ground Zero, Deku, and Red Riot all basically screamed power attack. Who knows how many more are to come? But all of the top heroes in Japan, along with your friends, are leaving their land for a new foreign country. This won't be just any other trip, and you know it.

But maybe letting your friends control the wheels does no harm, or it would. Who cares?
