You guys talked for more, just short and simple. At some point, it'll be a comfortable silence to take in the morning sun, which is making its way slowly. Whatever this may be, it makes you feel content.
"So, Aizawa. How exactly does your cool quirk work?"
Aizawa looks over at you with slight amusement. Humming lowly, he took his time to answer your question. The man turned to you fully as he put one leg crossed over the railing and leaned into your face.
"...will you tell me yours if I do?"
His eyes held such emptiness, and his voice stayed monotone. Yet it gives you shivers all over your body. His gaze never left the side of your face, and all you could do was nod in return.
"Erasure, I can erase people's quirk by looking at them."
You hummed in acknowledgment as you looked at his facial features. It was a bit hard to define the details, but he was looking mighty attractive with that man-bun.
Erase my desire for you, Shota.
Taking your time of silence, you took a moment to breathe before taking a turn. You become fidgety as you turn a full 180 to face the inside of the building.
"It's really not a great quirk," You stated as you awkwardly laughed. Your facial expression drops ever so slightly.
"People call it repulsive,"
You paused a bit, suddenly memories of it flowing back. You let them, and you turn your head around to face the man.
"Go on,"
He was not fazed by your words and continued to look at you intensely with the same darkness of comfort. Like he has heard these words along his line of work.
You took in a deep breath as you looked back at the obsidian black eyes.
"Dream. I make people relive the most eventful time of their lives in their dream world."
There was more to this. You could not possibly tell him, though. The details are probably unspeakable. More or less, you don't want to scare off a very good-looking man with trauma.
"I know you wanna say more to it, y/n.."
Aizawa said as he shifted a bit closer to your side. It was as if he did not want to create discomfort with his interaction, but was still trying to give reassurance.
"....more specifically, they were put back to the most tragic one of their lives,"
You said as you looked down at the hand. You had them painted in various colors. You love to do it, even if it brings darkness to everyone around you. It makes them feel less scary.
"By touching them, I can just.. put them back.. Usually, I have no control over it."
Continuing your words, you realized how out of touch you felt with yourself and your quirk. You never seemed to get the hang of it, nor did it seem to be a problem to you. It never was, but talking with a pro hero like him, you sort of lack what a capable person should be. Aware of your quirk's behaviour.
"Powerful quirk, I'm sure there is more to it."
He looks down at your fidgety hands but shifts quickly to your face.
"You did that?" He said, pointing at your hand. You turned your attention to the painted nails and held them up at him.
"To make it less intimidating and..." You brought the hand to you to have a clear view.
"Makes a great hobby nonetheless. But the quirk," You sighed as you brought it down to your lap yet again.
"I did not want to find out what would be more."
You half-heartedly smile up at him as you gaze into the morning sun, as it shows its presence.
The sun was now making its way to shine, and the streets were now starting to crowd as the noises of people reached your ears. The man's features were now more visible. A white tee with black sweatpants. His hair is now in an imperfect bun, which complements that jawline. His eyes hold a tiredness as dark circles under his eyes make him insanely attractive. The sun was shining onto his features like a golden strike.
What a sight.
"Must be hard to take all the responsibilities of such strong power."
He said as he dragged his half-lidded eyes to meet yours.
"I'm not sure... I do hope to learn more about myself. This quirk is part of me too..." You answered as you smiled awkwardly at the man and rubbed behind your neck to hide your awkwardness.
"You know, one of my students has a mind control quirk. People were scared to be around him at first because he could easily manipulate them. However, he soon proves to be a great hero at heart."
Aizawa said as a comforting gesture to his former student's quirk. He returns a small smile and lets himself down from the railing with the hand extended to give you a hand. Hesitantly, you took it.
"But if you like to talk more about it, I'm sure I can lend a helping hand."
He stated as he moved his hand to let you down. You were surprised by the sound as your feet landed on the floor with a soft thud. Taking a moment, you asked,
"Perhaps you do consulting?"
He shook his head and spoke lowly, "...I deal with students and people on uncontrollable quirks a lot. I can give you pointers if you want to control it."
You were about to ask for more detailed of his work, before suddenly being interrupted by the blazing sound of your phone.
"A PHONE CALL IS HERE!"
How embarrassing- I got to change this ringtone.
" 'Lo?"
You answered as the man in front of you waited.
"Y/n, you awake?"
It was Mina. She sounded dead tired, but a few girls could be heard in the background. Quite shuffling, soft mutters, and steps around the room.
"Yeah, been for a while, you ok?"
You slightly giggled as you heard the rough voice of Mina. Probably still having a hangover.
"Yeah, just tired. The girls and I slept in my room. We are getting ready to eat."
She answered.
"I will get ready then, see you soon, pinks."
"okayy, see ya"
~beep~
"Your friend?"
The man asked as you walked towards him with a smile.
"Yes, she asked me to join breakfast...."
You said receiving a hum from the man before you.
"I see." He replied as calmly as the air on a cruel summer. Hot and still.
"I was saying, I'd like to know of your work... before the call came." You chuckled a bit as you eyed up. "Since you have my number, you wouldn't mind, would you?"
He stopped to press the button of the lift before answering, "I'll do my best."
"And thank you for listening to me rambling about my life. I hope it didn't burden you with all this unnecessary information—"
"If it was a burden, I wouldn't have asked, and don't worry, your secrets are safe with me."
Aizawa cuts you off with a stern voice as he leads you in the lift. You laughed lightly as you headed in and pressed your floor.
"Hey, uh, weird question, Aizawa."
"..yes?"
You turned your head to look up at his face as you spoke cautiously, "Have we met before?"
Aizawa looks back at you and, without a hint of emotion, he calmly answers, "..I assure you, we haven't."
