A 16 hour flight was certainly worse than what Brooklyn was used to time-wise, but she managed to calm down with her iPad full of movies and shows and a few books from her carryon, and when she was tired of those, falling asleep on Phil's shoulder held her over for the rest of the flight.

Once the 6 landed and were getting off the plane, stretching out their tense limbs from lack of movement, they were soon packed into 2 transportation vehicles and were being taken to the hotel they were staying at for the 2 weeks.

And after another drive, they were walking into the hotel—which involved Alan refusing to take his eyes off Teddy as if he was a criminal—, and there came the bubbly sweet voice of Lauren.

"Baby!" She shouted, immediately running up to her almost husband and bear hugging him. She had to be insanely happy to see him after being away from him for a week as she happily kissed him in front of the crowd. "How was the trip?"

"Long, but worth it," Stu sighed, his arms wrapped around Lauren's shoulders. "It's beautiful here."

It was heartwarming to see Stu happy after getting out of an abusive relationship, and especially with a woman as sweet as Lauren.

Brooklyn was calling that they would be together for a long time.

"Good, good. Well let's head in," Lauren smiled before turning around to the rest of the group. "My dad booked the hotel venue for a rehearsal dinner tonight at sunset."

"Alright. Let's go!" Stu shouted enthusiastically, now happier than he was before getting on the plane.

Phil's hand was instinctively wrapped around Brooklyn's waist as they followed Lauren into the hotel.

Once in their assigned room, the first thing Brooklyn did was admire the view of Thailand they had, which was beautiful.

The ocean around the little island made her think of how violently blue children coloured water in pictures, only getting darker as the sun went down, setting a nice glow over the ocean and country.

Phil may have made a few jokes about how if they had the ocean and tall mountains for a view, they wouldn't be leaving the bed to go down to the rehearsal dinner, which made Brooklyn crack a smile.

Once the view was admired, Brooklyn began changing into a nice outfit for the rehearsal dinner. She decided that since she and her friends/brother were meeting new people Stu would become "family" with that maybe wearing a nice dress wouldn't be so bad.

But she wasn't going to let wearing a dress change her personality, which is why she decided to wear a black dress with thin adjustable straps that went down to her calves and a slit beginning just above her knee.

Also tying in well with her tattooed sleeves and neck of black and grey flowers, which may not be the best thing for a traditional family to look at but it's not like she could remove her ink like a sweater.

The dress was made in a comfortable stretchy material but still gave Brooklyn the form of an hourglass as it stretched just slightly over her chest and thighs.

Finishing with a pair of black flat shoes, Brooklyn then curled and lightly shook out her hair. Once she was finished with getting ready, the first thing she heard was a low whistle as she stepped out of the bathroom.

"Damn, baby," Phil said in a whisper, eyes marvelling at the sight of his woman all dressed up as he waited for her at the end of the bed. "Thought you hated wearing dresses," He pointed out, his hands reaching out to pull Brooklyn closer to him by her hips.

"The only times I will ever wear a dress is for either a very formal occasion, weddings or my own wedding," She shrugged, setting her hands on Phil's broad shoulders.
