As the initial shock of almost being killed for probably the millionth time wore off, Phil looked back at Brooklyn to see her with her eyes closed as she breathed in and out slowly.

All he wanted was to hold her close. Have her in his arms with her head resting on his shoulder while he played with her hands. Listen to her inform him that she was alright.

So, right as Alan got out of the car with the monkey in hand as Chow pulled up to a small animal hospital, Phil stepped out of the passenger seat next to Chow and got back into the car behind his seat where Brooklyn was, helping her maneuver around so that she was sitting bridal style in his lap and wrapping his arms protectively around her.

"Please tell me you're okay, baby," Phil whispered to her, his left hand gently holding the back of Brooklyn's head and looking over her body for any life threatening injuries with his other as she sighed.

"I'm fine," She breathed, fiddling with the hem of Phil's shirt. "I'm fine, just a headache."

Her answer managed to let Phil's shoulders finally relax as he let his head rest against the top of hers. "Thank god," He sighed, gently pressing kisses along Brooklyn's hairline. "The only one of us I want getting shot is me from now on."

Brooklyn managed to chuckle, looking up at her boyfriend with a light smile. "Kinda hard for that to stick when you're not a cop that gets fired at regularly," She reminded.

"Whatever," Phil brushed off, managing to smile at his future wife's humour as he let his forehead rest against hers.

The screeches of the injured monkey brought them back to reality, looking to see Alan on one knee with a small basket in front of him, the monkey inside it with a cigarette in its mouth.

Covering Brooklyn's ear that wasn't already covered by his shoulder, Phil cleared his throat before raising his voice so Alan would be able to hear him. "Alan! Come on! Let's go!" He shouted, to which Alan then rang the bell of the vet office before getting back up and running back to the car, sliding into the front seat when he noticed Phil was in the back.

Speeding down the road towards the designated building, Brooklyn watched it grow taller and taller, thinking it was never going to end as Chow pulled over.

They had everything they needed to get Teddy back, now they just needed to actually get him back.

Now in another elevator, the 5 rode up to the top floor, light elevator music filling the silence.

Brooklyn leaned back against the elevator wall, Phil leaning his shoulder against it as well. Chow was in front of them, lightly swaying to the music and singing to the lyrics.

"If I could save time in a bottle, the first thing I'd like to doooo," He sang along, Alan then joining in. "Is to save everyday til eternity passes away, just to spend time with you."

"Are you guys seriously this calm?" Stu asked, anxious about what was about to go down.

"Relax, Stuart. It's classic switcheroo. I give him money, he gives us Teddy," Chow shrugged, watching the floor numbers flick on then off.

"You ever do anything that doesn't end in a standoff, Chow?" Phil asked, a hand on the back of Brooklyn's neck.

"I'm an international criminal, it always ends like this," Chow answered, rather casually. "I met my wife at one of these things."

The last part of Chow's sentence brought her eyes to widen. "You—, Chow, you're married?" She asked, her face riddled with confusion.

"Yeah, we married 15 years," Chow continued, bringing Brooklyn to another shock at how long he's been in a committed relationship. "What, Chow not good looking enough for woman?"
