Fr beginning to love this ship for no reason lol

Pros:

- A romantic bond between the two has already been established somewhat

- The would have the trope of dumbass and smartass

- Rouge casually flirts with Knuckles, implying some form of attraction

- In Sonic X, Rouge threw away her scheme to help Knuckles and even betrayed Shadow in the same episode for Knuckles (what happened to bros before hoes?)

- Rouge goes out of her way to bump into Knuckles - whether that's to tease or flirt with him.

- If we consider Rouge's love language is compliments/flirting, it gives her and Knuckles' dynamic a lot more to go off.

Cons:

- Rouge is a serial flirter and flirts with many male characters, including Shadow despite their close bond

- Knuckles shows no real interest in Rouge outside of 'why is she here? What does she want?'

- There is some form of enemy-type trope between the two

- Knuckles does tend to dislike Rouge or just put up with her because he has to in quite a few games/series
