Chapter 10: Amygdala

Namjoon woke up to the sun in his eyes and he could feel a light pressure on his chest. The air had a fresh scent in it and he slowly began to realize that him and Jin had fallen asleep within the field. He looked down at Jin where he immediately felt like his breath was physically scooped out of his body by a higher being of some sort. Jin was laying there with his lips slightly parted, his hair was messy, and everywhere the sun touched him was radiating absolute beauty. Namjoon looked up to the sky and in that moment he thanked the universe for allowing this to happen once more. His emotions were so much easier to read because within his entire life he always felt like something was missing, but he had finally found it. He couldn't help but smile just thinking about how everything in his life happened for a reason. Without Yoongi he wouldn't have met Jimin, and without Jimin he definitely wouldn't have met Jin. He made a mental note to thank the couple later.

"Good morning." Namjoon heard Jin's tired voice, and he looked down and smiled at the gorgeous man. "Good morning to you too princess." Namjoon replied back. Jin blushed after hearing this, but flashed the radiant smile that never failed to make Namjoon's heart melt. "We seriously fell asleep? Last thing I remember was talking about the stars and constellations." Jin said after recovering from his gay panic. Namjoon laughed at that and quickly agreed with the older.

"Yeah I have no idea what happened. I guess we were tired from all the laughing we did last night. Also did you know you drool in your sleep Jin?" Namjoon said this and Jin immediately sat up and looked at Namjoon as if he was offended. "I do not!" Jin stated dramatically while lightly pushing on Namjoons shoulder. Namjoon couldn't help but let out a slight cackle. He was very entertained with how dramatic Jin could be especially when being teased. 

"I'm just kidding. You quite literally look like a princess when you sleep. It's adorable." Jin looked away acting like he was still upset about the previous comment, but Namjoon could see him smiling. In that moment, Namjoon decided he would be bold. He sat up and scooted closer to Jin and lightly made Jin look at him. Jin's eyes went wide, but he held eye contact with Namjoon nonetheless. Namjoon pushed Jin's hair behind his ear and pulled Jin towards him and kissed the older man. It was a very light kiss meant to say that he'd like to see Jin again, but in Namjoon's mind it felt like an explosion of many different emotions. He couldn't wrap his head around any of it.

"Wow Mr. Sexy Brain can kiss  too? This is a dream come true." Jin said this and it was officially Namjoon's turn to pretend to be offended. "Wow. One date and we are already teasing each other." Namjoon said as he beamed at Jin. Jin laughed at him.

"It's ten o'clock, I have work in like two hours." Namjoon looked at Jin and smiled at him. "Well then I guess it's time we get you home." The two packed everything back up and made their way towards Namjoon's car hand in hand.

Once they pulled into Jin's apartment complex, Namjoon opened the passenger door for Jin and escorted him towards his apartment. During the short walk the two had already gone from making jokes to teasing each other once more. Neither of them had any idea that Taehyung, Jimin, and Jungkook were staring at them through the window. As soon as they reached Jin's door, Namjoon kissed Jin, and the two shared a hug that felt as if it lasted for eternity. Jin made his way inside and as Namjoon was about to walk away he heard something that made him laugh. "OH MY GOD JIN DID YOU GET LAID?!" He knew that was Taehyung's voice. He just laughed and made his way towards his car. He felt as if he were on top of the world.
