Harry

I sat on the couch next to Louis with my head in my hands. I couldn't believe we were going to be some big news. I had a sudden thought of regret then. I knew I was a criminal the first time I conned someone, but I never thought of kidnapping four teenagers, let alone one of them being the son of one of the richest men in London, and demanding a huge ransom for them!

I felt a hand rub comfortingly on my shoulder. "Are you okay, Harry?" Louis voice asked.

I looked up at his concerned face. His blue eyes were a beautiful shade of blue and one could have easily gotten lost in them.

"Yeah, Louis, I'm alright, thanks. I was just second-guessing myself there. I've never done anything so extreme."

Louis face was warm and soft. "We are safe for now, I promise. And just think: you'll be four hundred thousand dollars richer once he gets his kid back! Hemmings could throw away two million, he's that rich. He'll want his kid back and we'll have the money in no time! It's only the matter of getting the money and out of the country that we should worry about. And then we'll be safe. You know how careful you are!" His effort to reassure me made me feel so much better.

"Thanks Louis. I'll be better once I get used to this. I appreciate your help."

We looked back at the television and the news was just finishing. Louis unmuted it just in time to hear the newscaster say: "We will continue with updates on the Hemmings/Ransom case at noon. Thanks for watching and have a great day."

Louis and I looked at the other three boys and Niall smiled."Well, we better go tell the boys, shouldn't we?"

"Let go of me now! Hey-" Liam took it upon himself to finally shut the Ashton kid up by gagging him with Liam's sock, and the look on Ashton's face was priceless.

"Thank you, Liam," I said loudly over the teenager's groans and gagging noises.I was surprised the Luke kid didn't use up all of his tears. He was still bawling when I came over to get him out of the room.

"Not such a tough guy now, huh?" He just let out another sob.

Zayn grabbed Calum who was still oddly calm, but he had a lot of trouble looking up at us. He did what he was told and sat against the wall without problems.

When Niall grabbed Michael, he put up a small fight, but didn't look as frightened. I was still peeved at Michael from the day before when he didn't follow directions. I kept my eyes on him as we sat them on the floor.

We kept Louis upstairs on news duty because we weren't ready to let him be around the boys yet. I felt kind of bad for him the day before when both Liam and Niall lectured him, but I was also very disappointed in him. I didn't know why but I felt an odd sense of affection for the younger boy and since he was nearly five years my junior, I also felt a sense of overprotectiveness.

All the teenagers looked down at the floor and refused to make eye contact with any of us or each other, even when Niall started to speak.

"Good morning, boys," he said, dragging out the vowel in the word 'boys'. "We've gotten a bit of news this morning," he focused on Luke now, who couldn't lift his head from his knees, which slightly irritated Niall. He lifted Luke's head by the longer hair on the top of his head and spat, "and it looks like Daddy's gotten our message." Luke squeaked and nearly ripped out his hair in Niall's grip as he buried his head back in his knees.

Niall chuckled evilly. "Now it's only a matter of time before we get our money and leave the country."

"More like get the death sentence," Ashton rudely butted in after spitting out Liam's sock.
