Liam

I sighed, bringing my fingers up to rub my temples. I was losing all grip. I was the toughest in the house, but I obviously showed my weak side to who should be the weakest in the house. I had learned he did kill a boy a few years back and was never caught, lucky for him, but he was nothing compared to what I had done. I had no idea what was getting into me, but I knew Louis was doing something to me, something I couldn't quite figure out.

I could hear faint yelling upstairs, so after finally composing myself, I trudged upstairs to hear not Louis, but Niall raising his voice."Do you realize the more contact we have with them, even just a tiny bit, we can get into more trouble than we already are? When we let them go the authorities will not stop questioning them until they have all the information to narrow us down to the last suspects! It's just that much easier to catch us if they can really study our faces and speech! Think Louis, think!"

Louis looked down at his feet because he knew he let all of us down with the way he had previously acted. Niall stood in front of Louis, looking down at him, flanked by Harry, who had his arms crossed and was shaking his head, and Zayn, who was taking slow sips of beer and watching how this all unfolded.

I was very pleased to see that Louis finally knew his place compared to the rest of us. I could tell he definitely learned his lesson, and Niall could as well. "Louis, we don't want you to turn out like the rest of us, and I am serious. You have already started in the same direction, from what you did in the past and what you are doing now, but we want you to realize that this is a one time thing, and when we start life elsewhere, we want you to begin again and choose how you act much more wisely. That's why we cannot let you stay here as often because our bad choices will end up rubbing off on you, trust me, I know from experiences. You are smart, but you need to think before you decide to act again. You do have some power over those boys, but try to leave it to the rest of us. You are here because we need you to help get us information on what is happening at your school and in the public. We need you to be careful so you don't give away that you are hiding something. And I know you are smart enough to keep things to yourself. Okay?"

Louis finally lifted his head, biting his lip, looking as submissive as he knew he had to be and I could feel goosebumps rise on the skin on my arms just from looking at him. I sucked in a breath as I realized what was going on in my mind.

"Okay," Louis responded in the tiniest voice. We could tell he was losing his dignity very quickly.

"You will be a big help Louis," Niall reassured, "but we do not need you to be going behind our backs and abusing the boys even more than they deserved." Louis nodded.

He looked toward me for a split second and when I caught sight of his nervous eyes and bitten lips, I could feel my blood start to rush to my groin. I quickly nodded awkwardly and looked away, quickly moving to the stairs faster than normal and ran to my bedroom.

After relieving my problem to thoughts of Louis being submissive under my strength, I debated whether or not to go back upstairs. I decided against it because the thought of seeing Louis at the moment didn't seem like a great idea, so I sat in my room for a little while.

The day passed by quickly with minimal problems from the hostages, easily fixed by turning off the light and threatening them with my favorite knife. Soon it was night and Louis had to go home and would be back sometime the next day, but I tried to avoid him throughout the day, only accidentally bumping into him once around lunch.

I thought about how I usually went out on a regular Saturday night and tortured and killed an unsuspecting kid, and I thought about how good it felt to feel someone's life leave their bodies under my fingertips. It gave me so much adrenaline. The fact that we had four boys in the basement that were there for me to use to give me the thrill I needed was overwhelmingly amazing. That definitely was the better idea than threatening my own life by killing another and helped to resist my urges to want to do so.

I slept soundly that night, knowing that life was going to get so much better for me.

The next morning was a bit of commotion. I heard several people running around on the floors above, which woke me up, so I ventured upstairs to see what everyone else was up too.

I climbed the stairs slowly, watching blurs of blonde and brown rush past the railing and up the stairs. I followed them into Zayn's room, seeing Zayn sat at his computer with his hands pushed into his messy bed hair. I heard the TV in the living room playing the news loud and clear, as though the boys were waiting to hear something important.

"What's going on guys?" I asked as I entered Zayn's bedroom.Zayn, Niall, and Harry all turned to me with faces showing the emotions of excited and terrified.

Niall spoke up first, his voice loud but hesitant, "Hemmings read the email. He watched the video."

I hurried over to the computer and checked the screen that had our video. It had about ten viewings, meaning the families and authorities had all seen it. "This all happened in about a day?"

"News like this spreads fast," Niall responded. "So fast that we expect it to be on the news sometime today. Louis is watching the TV for us now." My throat suddenly felt constricted at the mention of Louis. I hadn't talked to him since I pulled him out of the room and his angered state. I figured that after his talk with Niall he would forget the whole thing and follow both of our instructions.

"Guys come quick!" We all ran out to the living room and Louis turned up the volume on the TV.

The same reporter who usually reported my killings, Victoria Lee, (someone who I had loved to have met before I slit her throat) was on the screen in front of Jacob Hemmings's mansion with the headline "Breaking News: Four Boys Missing, Ransom Video" at the bottom of the screen.

"We have recently been notified by the authorities that local CEO Jacob Hemmings has received an email containing a link to a video that showed four boys with their hands and feet tied together. A modified voice in the video demands a ransom of two million dollars from Hemmings for these boys who are yet to be identified. So far, we have only received two missing persons calls so we will talk to the families and have them identify their child. Meanwhile, we are waiting to interview Mr. Hemmings and we will check back on this story throughout the day." And the screen cut back to the reporters in the station.

Louis muted the TV and everyone was silent except Niall.

"Boys, I believe we're famous."
