𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗱 𝗦𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗲𝗿 - 𝗕𝘆𝗹𝗲𝗿

𝗖𝗵 𝟰. 𝗜𝗴𝗻𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗱

Will and El were on there way to Mikes house, Max had asked if they wanted to come hang out and they obviously agreed. While they were there, the band was also going to practice their new song, Will and El would be the first people to hear it.

When they got there, Mike and Will just kinda stood there awkwardly, looking at each other while the others talked.

"And all I am is a man." Mike starts singing. "I want the world in my hands, I hate the beach, but I stand in California with my toes in the sand."

"Use the sleeves of my sweater." Max joins in, "Let's have an adventure, head in the clouds but my gravity centered. Touch my neck and I'll touch yours. You in those little high waisted shorts, oh."

As they continue to sing Will is just looking at Mike. Everything about him is perfect. He doesn't want Mike to feel weird so he looks away, instead he just looks at the ground.

A few seconds later he's looking at Mike again. Does it really matter? I mean, he's singing, that's a reason to look at him.

As they stop singing, Mike looks over at Will.

-Wills smiling, and he looks so.. pretty? No. He's a boy, so are you. You can't like him- Mike thinks.

He looks away and starts talking to everyone other than Will.

Will just looks at the ground, not talking.

Mikes mom calls them for dinner and they all sit down at the table

"So uh, what do you think of it? The song?" Mike asks.

"It was really good!" El smiles, looking at Will for him to say something.

He just nods and looks back down at his plate.

He didn't wanna be annoying, he felt like he had been because they didn't talk to him, especially Mike.

When they all finish eating, El and Will get ready to leave. Mike walks over to Will before he goes out the door. "Will? Are you okay? You barely talked." He said.

"Yeah, I'm fine." Will says, going to open the door.

"Did we do something? Did I do something?" Mike asks. Will looks at him and then at the floor, like he's been doing all day.

"You guys just barely talked to me. Especially after the song, it felt like I wasn't even there." He says.

"Oh." Mike said quietly, "I'm sorry, I... I guess I didn't notice." He adds.

After Will leaves, Mike just feels really bad. He knew he meant to ignore him but he didn't realize no one else was talking to Will. They probably were just too focused on the conversation to notice but Will had felt like they all did it on purpose. He knew that wasn't true now of course, but Mike still felt really bad.

He went to bed thinking about what he could do to make it up to Will.

A/n: this is super short but I didn't wanna keep u guys waiting longer and I had no other ideas for this chapter. I start school this week so I don't know how long it will take for other chapters, hopefully not too long!!
