I rolled my eyes.

Everything today was pissing me off. I was so stressed about my situation. I just got fired. What the hell was I supposed to do now? At least I could actually sleep early for a change. After I got home, I got into bed and slept. The tears took a lot out of me.

With each ring, I become even more irritated. Eventually, I got sick of hearing it and just picked it up angrily.

"What?!" I shouted into the phone.
"Someone's in a bad mood. We're coming over now."
"Fine, whatever. Bye."

I hung up. I know that was kind of rude of me, but now was not the time. Normally, I'd be excited to see my best friends because with their busy schedules, we almost never met up. Today was simply not the right day. Within a few minutes, there was a bunch of knocks in the door. I slowly got up and walked to the door. By then, they were pounding on the door. They knew they could do that, since we were best friends. When I opened the door, I was attacked with hugs. I just stood there and let them hug me.

"Kris! I missed you!"
"Ah! Ready for tonight?! Kris..."
"What."
"Is everything ok?"
"No."
"What happened?"

I sat down on the couch with Jess, while Alyssa disappeared to who knows where.

"I got fired last night."
"Oh, I'm so sorry to hear that."
"Yeah... Well I'm not really in the mood for anything."
"Come on! We only see each other a few times a year!"
"I know, but..."
"But nothing. Come on, we're going to go out and have the night of our lives!"
"Mhm."
"Stop that, cheer up."
Alyssa entered the room with a big bag in her hand, "What's the matter?"
Jess answered, "Kris got fired."
"You know, we can always help you."
"No, I don't need any of your money."
"Are you sure?"
"I can handle it myself."
"Ok."
"Anyway," Jess said, "let's get ready."
"For what?"

Alyssa pulled out three dresses from the bag she was holding. They were all short dresses that would cover little to nothing. She held a red dress in front of me. It had a v-neck and waist cut. I gave the two of them a confused look.

"What are these for?"
"Tonight! We're going out!"
"I'm not really feeling up for it..."
"Shh," Alyssa pushed forward the dress, "put it on."
"Alyssa-"
"Just go and have one night of fun. For once, forget about all your problems! Let's dance the night away! Party until you drop to the ground!"
"I can't-"
"Will you stop? It won't hurt to try it on."

She tossed the dress at me and I caught it before it hit the floor. I walked into my bedroom and shut the door. I really wasn't in the mood for arguing, so I agreed to put it on. It was skin tight and barely covered anything. It went way too far down at the chest, for my liking, and was way too short. I came out still, to show them.

Immediately, Alyssa cheered, "Woo! Someone's looking sexy!"
"Shut up," I said pulling the dress down.
"Come on, don't deny it. It shows off your perfect body," Jess complimented.
"I feel it's too revealing."
"Nonsense, you'll have all eyes on you at the club."
"Yeah, and that's what I'm afraid of."
"Be quiet."
"My ass is barely covered and you say that's not revealing?!"
"What would you prefer to wear? A snowsuit?"

Alyssa and Jess laughed, then went away to go change into their dresses. Jess came out first wearing a skintight black dress. It had sleeves like a t-shirt, but they were made out of lace. She did a little twirl and flipped her short, light brown, wavy hair. She was wearing a ton of makeup with mascara, eyeliner, blush, and bold, red lipstick. Around her neck, was a black necklace.

"You like?"
"Perfect as always."

Next, Alyssa showed off. Her dress was strapless and had a sweetheart neckline. She wore a light pink lipstick to match her pink nails and highlights in her blonde hair. Her hair was straight and reached past her shoulders. I really did like the streaks of pink. She had makeup on, like Jess.

"Hey, Kris."
"What?"
"You're turn for makeup."
"No thanks."
"Yes!" Jess said.

It was never a good thing when two of us teamed up on one. Why did Alyssa have to mention makeup? Now she had Jess on her side. I sighed and had them take me to the bathroom. I refused to put on the red lipstick Jess suggested. Instead, I let them put on mascara and a tiny bit of blush. That was it and I left my hair down.

"We look hot," Jess announced as we got into her car.
"Obviously!" Alyssa said.

I wasn't really happy, but my mood did improve. They posed for a selfie. Jess quickly typed the caption "night with my girls" into her phone and posted the picture on Instagram. Alyssa and I both liked her post.

We pulled over and they dragged me into a club. I wasn't really familiar with this place or any club, since I don't go out often. From the looks of it, Alysaa and Jess had been here before. It was pretty dark inside except for a few flashing lights here and there. I felt like I didn't fit in with the crowd. People were dancing all around and here I was being pulled along. Jess was starting to move to the beat and Alyssa soon joined in. I held my left arm and awkwardly stood like a statue doing nothing.

"Come on, what's the matter?"
"Can we just go home?"
"No!"
"We just got here crazy. Oh, and I'm going to go over there. That guy is checking me out," Alyssa said before disappearing into the crowd.
"Yeah, great idea. Why don't you go find yourself a guy?"
"Jess, I don't think that's such a great idea."
"I'm trying to do a favour for you! Maybe it's time for you to find someone."
"I'm fine, I don't need anyone else in my life."
"Just go and have fun! We don't see each other enough and now that we do, you don't want to do anything!"
"I'm sorry-"
"Stop being sorry then! Do this for me, go talk to a guy, at least."
"No."
"Fine. I bet you can't even get a guy."

She turned away from me and started to walk away. I grabbed her by the arm.

"What's that supposed to mean?!"
"I bet you can't even get a guy! You're too scared to go talk to anyone."
"That's not true."
"Ok, well then let's make this a little more interesting."
"Alright..." I wasn't too sure where this was going.
"If you can get a guy's number by the end of the night, I'll let you dress me one morning before work. Whatever you pick, I have to wear. Even if it's a clown suit! But if you can't get a guy's number..." She stopped to think, "Then you have to go out on a date with Cole!"

Cole was Alyssa's cousin. I'd met him when Alyssa invited Jess and I over for one of her family dinners. He was there. Now, for the past year or so, he's had a ginormous crush on me.

"No! That's so unfair!"
"How?"
"Because, yours isn't so bad!"
"Well..."
"I'm not doing it."
"Don't think you can get a guy to give you his number?"

I clenched my fists. I didn't want to show that I was scared. I believed that I could do this.

"I'll do it," I said.
