So as we are going to find out, this story is Hausa-themed. Therefore, you are going to come across several Hausa terms, words, and phrases.  To make reading easier, I compiled a list of Hausa words and their meanings you are most likely going to see in the story.

So here goes...
(Who knows, you might even learn a new word😉)

Uwa– Mother

Uba – Father

Sannu – Hello

Barka da rana – Good afternoon

Kana lafiya – How are you?

Ina lafiya – I am fine.

Na gode – Thank you

Maraba – You are welcome

Ee – Yes

 A' a – No

Yi hakuri – Sorry

Ba matsala – No problem

Barka da dare – Good night

Barka da safiya – Good morning

Me ke faruwa – What is happening?

Lalle– a liquid substance used in decorating parts of the body such as the hands, and legs.

• Kohl – a black powder usually used for eye makeup.

There we have it.  XD

The list will be updated if other Hausa words are featured as the story progresses.

However, before we go, which word stuck out to you the most?

For me, it is Ee which means yes 😂

I look forward to seeing your answers.  ✌️
