We were walking hand in hand along the shoreline, the small waves crashing gently against our bare feet. My hand unconsciously went to my stomach and I smiled faintly to myself.
I'm going to be a mom in seven months.
" Babe?" he said, worry evident in his tone as he snapped me out of my thoughts," you kept spacing out. Is something wrong?" he panicked, his breath taking eyes now full of worry as they roamed over my face.
" No I was just thinking," I smiled, imaging this man in front of me panicking when my water broke. " Oh," he breathed out, relief evident in his tone," look over there!" My head snapped in the direction he had pointed at, my eyes searching the place frantically for what could've sparked his sudden interest.
Seeing nothing but white sand and blue waves, I turned around to face him with an annoyed look on my face," Seriously? I-"
Covering my mouth in shock, tears immediately welled up in my eyes. There he knelt, one knee in the sand, the waves crashing against his bare legs with a dazzling smile on his gorgeous face. I gasped as he pulled out a tiny, red velvet, heart shaped box," I am completely and utterly in love with you, and as I promised years ago when we were crazy teens, I want to make you my wife," he took a deep breath and opened the lid of the box, revealing a beautiful engagement ring. It was silver, with tiny rhinestones all along the band and a diamond encrusted on top" Will you marr-" he was about to say but was cut off as I was awakened rudely by a loud slap on my back.
I turned over in my bed wanting to scream at the person who woke me up from my magical dream to see Crystal screeching in my face," Wakey, wakey eggs 'n' bacey!"
At that moment I wished I had died because if anger didn't kill me, her breath would.
" Mom said to get your lazy bum up now or your gonna be late for school."
I stretched, yawned and sat up in bed glaring at my clock.
I rubbed my eyes to make sure I was seeing straight as they focussed on the old alarm clock on my night stand.
7:45!!! I had less than five minutes before the guys came to pick me up for school.
Sprinting for the bathroom, I had the quickest shower known to man before rushing into my bedroom, throwing my closet open and throwing on anything I could grab which happened to be a grey high-waist boyfriend jeans and a white over sized sweater.
I put on my grey converse and headed over to my bedroom mirror to try tame my frizzy red hair. Unlike my sister, I wasn't as lucky to have straight, chestnut hair and had to endure combing the bird's nest I called my hair into something more, or less decent every morning.
