I had Chemistry class which I had with Tyler, we had most classes together. This was, unfortunately, the only class I didn't have with Jordan- I mean any of the guys.
As I walked down the hall, heading towards class, I decided to make a pit stop at the bathroom. As I stepped in, I heard sobbing and looked around to see Chelsea's best friend, Lexie, curled into a ball crying her eyes out.
She looks so vulnerable when she's not smacking gum or being a bitch.
Kneeling down beside her, I quietly pulled out a couple of tissues out of my bag and handed them to her.
Lexie looked shocked at my act of kindness but took them anyways, dabbing her eyes and blowing her red nose while I sat awkwardly beside her, fiddling with my finger nails.
Giving her my hand, I led Lexie towards the huge bathroom mirror, taking out my brush and make-up. Her dark brown hair was all over the place and mascara was running down her face.
I brushed Lexie's hair that fell to her back and re-did her make-up. When I was done, she hugged me, catching me off guard and I knew this girl and I would be good friends.
We both had Chemistry so we decided to go together.
As we walked down the hall, I could feel tension in the air so I attempted to ease it," I'm Avery by the way," I told her extending my hand for her to shake.
She took it and smiled," Yeah, I know. You're all Queen Bish talks about,"
She just called her best friend a bitch, walk away while you still can!
Shut up! Chelsea is a bitch.
Fine, but you'll regret it.
" You already know my name," she smirked and I raised a brow," Thanks for what you did in the bathroom, I really appreciate it."
I smiled slightly," Don't mention it."
" Oh I won't," I could have sworn she muttered but I brushed it off, thinking the paranoid part of my brain was, well, being paranoid.
" Wait, aren't you and Chelsea like besties," I asked as we entered the classroom.
With only two random people, along with Tyler who was flirting with this random brunette, nobody else had arrived yet.
" Ex-besties ," she corrected me, on the verge of tears. I quickly dropped the topic and rubbed the back of my neck awkwardly.
I don't really deal well with people and their sad emotions so I stayed silent as we made our way to the back and sat side by side, as far away from Tyler as possible.
More kids came in and a couple minutes later, our Chem teacher, Mr.Robinson came in.
He was a fat man in his late forties with a bald head and a cheerful spirit," Okay class, so today you guys will be put in pairs to work on this assignment and no need to worry about finding partners because I've already paired you guys up."
Boos and woos filled the class," Quiet down everyone," Mr. Robinson yelled trying to be stern but the amused look on his face said otherwise.
I spaced out for the names because my name was way down the bottom and I couldn't care less who I got, unless it was Tyler.
~Flashback~
" Ma'am, do you recognize this body?" the police officer with the weird eye asked my mom. She gasped at something in his hand ," Y-yes," she managed to get out. " What's going on mom?" I questioned, both Chrystal and I emerging at either side of her. Startled by our sudden appearance, my mom tried to hide the picture from us, but I had already seen it," Daddy!" I screamed. He was in pool of blood and his body was twisted in an odd manner," I-is h-he d-dead," I asked the police officer. He looked at me, then glanced hesitantly at my-
