"Sign these divorce papers," He said, his voice calm but heavy with emotion. "And free yourself from this forced relationship. You deserve better than this... better than me."

Anger surged through me at his words. I stormed towards him until only a sliver of space separated us.

"Mere zindagi tumhe koi drama ya khel lagti hai?" I spat, my voice trembling with fury. "Ek pal nikkah, dusre pal divorce?" (Does my life seem like some drama or game to you? One moment, marriage; the next moment, divorce?)

"Mohabbat thi na tumhe Falaq se?" My voice broke as I mentioned her name. "Toh na bolte! Kyu mujhe..." I paused, trying to choke back the tears, the bitterness rising in my throat. "Kyu mujhe iss rishtay mein bandha?" (You loved Falaq, didn't you? Then why didn't you say something? Why... Why did you trap me in this relationship?)

He winced at my words, guilt flashing across his face, but he still didn't say a word. His silence only fueled the fire burning inside me.

"Yeh sab kya tha tumhare liye? Ek farz? Ek majboori? Ya sirf ek galti jo tum ab theek karna chahte ho?" I stepped back, feeling the weight of the betrayal that had slowly been sinking in since the moment he handed me those papers. (What was this to you? A duty? A burden? Or just a mistake you're trying to fix now?)

I could see the torment in his eyes, but I wasn't going to let that soften me. Not now. Not after everything.

"Ho gayi mujhse galti, Sobia," he said, his voice laced with regret. "Aur main us galti ko sahi karna chahta hoon. I don't want us both to spend the rest of our lives in this forced relationship." (I made a mistake, Sobia, And I want to correct that mistake.)

"Do you really want to spend the rest of your life with a man who is in love with another woman? A woman who isn't you?"

His words cut through me like a knife, and despite my resolve, tears slipped down my cheeks, each one burning like fire as they fell. I clenched my fists, trying to hold myself together, but the pain was unbearable.

"You say it's a mistake," I whispered, my voice barely audible, "but do you even realize what that means for me?"

He looked away, unable to meet my gaze, but I wasn't done.

"You think you're doing the right thing by letting me go, by freeing me. But this isn't freedom, Shahzain. This is abandonment. You're running away from your mistakes, and you're leaving me to pick up the pieces of a life you broke."

I took a shaky breath, stepping closer. "If you really loved her, if Falaq was the one you always wanted, then why drag me into this? Why marry me at all?"
