August 9th? She smirked. They were very good at picking a date. . . August 9th, that was her birthday.

She quickly recovered from her shock and turned around, "That's good."

Lisa then walked up the stairs confidently and disappeared into her room. Eunha was not pleased with her reaction, and she angrily sat back down on the couch.

Sehun glanced at Eunha before asking, "Yuyan, why did you pick August 9th?"

Eunha smiled, "I just like that date."

Bai Jiawei cleared his throat awkwardly and looked down, but he didn't say anything.

"Oh."

Sehun didn't think much and also didn't dare to disagree with Eunha's decision. He still needed the help of the He family. Plus, he had forgotten when Lisa's birthday was anyway.

---

After staying in her room for a few minutes, Lisa got annoyed at the sound of laughter coming from the first floor. So, she decided to leave.

She walked down the stairs with her head held high and walked straight past the four people on the couch without even looking at them.

She pretended to not hear Bai Jiawei calling her name as she opened the door and walked out of the house. On the sidewalk, she walked towards Jungkook's house but didn't enter.

Instead, she stayed within the boundaries of the He mansion as she walked over to the ground beneath her room. She looked up at the balcony, which was at least 30 feet above the ground, and wondered how in the world Jungkook could climb up and into her room.

She pondered this question for a few minutes when a voice suddenly distracted her train of thought, "Baby, what are you doing?" An amused voice asked.

The sudden voice scared Lisa as she suddenly turned around and glared at Jungkook, "You scared me! Why are you here?"

"What are you doing?" Jungkook stepped out of the trees and looked where Lisa was looking.

Lisa gently patted her chest, which was beating unusually fast because of the surprise, "Can you take me up with you?"

Jungkook furrowed his eyebrows slightly. He climbed this wall often, so it was easy for him. However, for her. . . "What are you doing?"

Why was she entering her own house using this method?

Lisa sighed, "Just tell me if you can do it or not."

Jungkook licked his lips before replying, "I can."

"Then take me up!"

Jungkook lifted his chin up and smiled, "Kiss me once." He said, pointing to his lips.

Lisa was so angry she wanted to beat him up. If she could climb up himself, she wouldn't ask help from him! This guy was the best at being shameless!

Lisa rolled her eyes before quickly giving him a peck on the lips.

Jungkook gave her a satisfied smile before bending down.

"What are you doing?" She asked.

"Come on."

"Are you going to carry me up there?" The second floor was at least thirty feet into the air! He wasn't actually going to carry her up to the second floor, right?

Shouldn't it be in like those action movies, where he pulls out a claw and latches it onto the building, before climbing on?

Jungkook looked back at her, "Hurry up."

Lisa slowly edged over to him and hesitantly placed one hand onto his shoulder, "Are you sure?"

"Do you want to go or not?"

In the end, Lisa climbed onto his back and tightly grasped onto his neck, her legs also tightly wrapped around his waist.

"Don't let go," He said before standing up.

Lisa nodded her head and her arms and legs unconsciously tightened. Jungkook almost couldn't breathe because of her tight grasp on his neck and he patted her hands, "Relax, I can't breathe."

"Oh," Lisa said as she loosened up a bit. In reality, her hands didn't loosen at all. Jungkook sighed before reaching his hand out and grabbing onto a corner. Then, his leg stepped onto the wall, and almost like a gecko, he climbed up onto the second floor balcony using only a few steps.

Although he was carrying Lisa, his breath was still steady and slow as he climbed up the wall. In the beginning, Lisa had her eyes tightly closed. But as she felt his every step, she slowly opened them and watched as his fingers confidently grasped onto each resting place to go up.

When they arrived on the balcony floor, Jungkook slowly let Lisa down and turned back with a triumphant smile, almost as if he was asking for a compliment.

Lisa smiled, "Good job!"

Satisfied, Jungkook opened the balcony door and they walked in together.

"Go get ready to sleep," Jungkook ordered.

"Oh, okay."

Lisa entered the bathroom with her pajamas and didn't forget to lock the bathroom door to make sure some shameless person wouldn't walk in.

When she came back out after ten minutes, she saw that Jungkook had changed into his black silk pajamas and was laying on the bed.

"Where did those clothes come from?"

"I went back and changed."

Lisa's eyes widened. In ten minutes, he went back, changed, and came back? Lisa was beginning to wonder if her pursuer had supernatural abilities or something.

Jungkook stood up and walked over to the lights. After Lisa had climbed onto the bed, he closed them and joined Lisa to sleep.

---

The next few days passed quickly, and most of the time, everyone besides Lisa was busy preparing for the engagement ceremony.

It was a Tuesday night, four days before the engagement ceremony on Saturday. Lisa was home and she was watching television on the couch.

Eunha, Li Huiran, and Sehun had left together to go buy new jewelry for the engagement ceremony, and they weren't back yet.

After a few minutes, the door opened and Bai Jiawei walked in.

"Yanyan, where is your sister and mom?"

"Don't know."

Bai Jiawei was obviously not very pleased with her attitude as he frowned and placed his bag on the table. As he was about to go upstairs, the door opened again and the sound of talking filled the living room.

Three people then walked in and Bai Jiawei's face brightened a bit when he saw them, "Where did you guys go?"

Eunha glanced at Lisa before happily running over to her dad, "Dad, we went to go buy jewelry and my engagement dress! Zhiming also bought me a wedding ring. It's 0.520 carats!*"

Bai Jiawei squeezed out a smile and looked at the blinding diamond on Eunha's hand, "Good, good."

"Dad, what's wrong," Eunha asked when she noticed that Bai Jiawei didn't seem very happy.

Bai Jiawei looked at Eunha and then Sehun before he sighed, "You know the house you two wanted to buy."

Eunha smiled, "Yes! We went to go look at it a few days ago and Sehun said he would buy it for our wedding home! It's a first-level house!"

Bai Jiawei sighed, "I know. It was still open for sale yesterday night, but today, I heard that someone had bought it!"

Lisa raised one eyebrow on the couch as she watched the television. Someone had bought it. . .

Yesterday night, she had told Jungkook about the house and how he would be "neighbors" with Eunha and Sehun in the future. He didn't seem very excited about that.

Was it just a coincidence?
