Chapter 26: Audition

Lalisa woke up from her alarm clock and rubbed her eyes. She saw the empty space on the other side of the bed but there was still something out of place.

Jungkook's pillow was still on the bed. . .

Lalisa sat up on her bed and grabbed the pillow. She could smell the light and masculine scent of Jungkook from the pillow, and she remembered his shameless actions yesterday.

She walked over to her balcony and was about to throw the pillow at the trees when she stopped.

He Xinyan took another look at the pillow and sighed. Hugging it to her chest, she looked down her balcony and frowned when she saw how high up she was.

She was at least 40 feet up into the air and there was no way to just walk up here. How in the world did Jungkook even get up to her balcony?

Lalisa walked back into her room and threw the pillow back onto the bed. She grabbed her computer and sat back down on her bed in her pajamas.

As the script for the role was loading, Lalisa looked around and saw the beautiful red rose on her nightstand.

She narrowed her eyes and picked the rose up with her fingers. The thorns have been cut off and all of the petals on the rose were in perfect bloom.

Lalisa took a sniff and couldn't help but smile. Jungkook had a good taste in picking flowers.

Two hours later, Lalisa did her makeup and dressed up before walking out of her room. It was almost lunchtime as Lalisa walked down the stairs.

Bai Jiawei and Li Huiran were sitting on the couch together, each doing their own thing. They looked up simultaneously when they heard Lalisa walking down the stairs.

It was a Saturday, so Bai Jiawei was home but Lalisa slightly furrowed her eyebrows when she didn't see Eunha.

"Where are you going?" Bai Jiawei asked.

"I have an audition."

Li Huiran stood up from the couch, "What a coincidence! Yuyan has an audition today too!"

Lalisa thought back but she couldn't remember whether Eunha was a part of the 'Beautiful Things Past' audition too.

After telling them she wasn't going to come back for lunch, Lalisa left. She met up with Rosè in front of the audition building and they walked in together.

As they sat down, Lalisa looked around and saw that many celebrities with some fame were also auditioning today.

The main female and male lead roles had been set already, and the actor and actress were both extremely famous A-list celebrities.

"Lili, Daisy brought white lotus over." Rosè whispered into Lalisa's ear.

Lalisa glanced at the door and saw that Daisy had walked in confidently with Eunha walking beside her. The two of them seemed to be in a great mood as they talked to each other happily.

Yes, the white lotus Chaeyoung was talking about is Eunha.

'Beautiful Things Past' was based on a very popular novel of the same name. The director, Ma Qiaoqi, was extremely famous and had a good reputation, and over 200 million dollars had been invested into this film.

This drama hasn't even started filming yet, but the news and media were already reporting about it. Everyone knew that this film was going to be very big and hot, so tons of people came today to audition.

Even if it was just a small role, they would be happy to get at least a second of screen time in the large film.

Lalisa wasn't surprised when she saw that Daisy had brought Eunha over. Eunha was Daisy's favorite artist, and she also had some small fame.

Eunha was more popular than Lalisa, mainly because Daisy didn't give her any opportunities when she was under her. All of the roles and shows were given to Eunha, and she had a small fan base by now.

Daisy has always been really satisfied with Eunha, and never complained about her. Meanwhile, Lalisa never listened to Daisy, and Daisy only agreed to keep "helping" her because she was pretty and because Eunha told her to.

Lalisa got an opportunity to come and audition today through her connections, whereas Eunha got the opportunity through her manager, Daisy.

If it was Lalisa 8 years ago, she would have definitely been extremely angry. But now. . . She didn't even care about them. She remembered that Eunha didn't get anything from the audition, but instead, she was the one that succeeded in getting a role.

The role didn't have many scenes in the film, and after the drama came out, it didn't help her much.

Daisy left after accompanying Eunha over to the waiting room. Eunha coldly scanned the waiting room and her eyes landed on Lalisa.

Surprise quickly flashed past her eyes, but the next second, Eunha confidently walked over to Lalisa with a smug smile on her face.

Chaeyoung clenched her teeth together as she said angrily, "I want to punch her."

Lalisa patted Rosè's hand and signaled for her to stay calm. Many things had already changed in this second life, yet it was just the beginning of her rebirth.

In the past, Eunha was still pretending to be nice at this time. However, this time around, she had already taken her mask off. Maybe it was because she was already exposed with Sehun, and there was no point in hiding anymore.

Or maybe, she just couldn't continue to pretend anymore. . .

"What are you doing here?" Eunha asked snobbishly.

Lalisa rolled her eyes, "To audition, of course."

"Sister Daisy told you to come?" Eunha asked.

"Do you think that's possible?"

"You're quite brave," Eunha commented as she crossed her arms together.

"Doesn't matter, I'm not working under her anymore anyway."

Eunha frowned when she heard what Lalisa said. Her plan was to keep Lalisa under Daisy's control until she got famous, however, she did not think that Lalisa would breach the contract.

Now, it would be harder for her to rise in the industry and get famous with Lalisa in her way. Although she was unwilling to admit it, Lalisa was more fit for the entertainment industry than she was.

Lalisa was prettier than her and also, she was more talented. Eunha clenched her fists together angrily as she wondered where her plan went wrong.

"What role are you auditioning for?"

Lalisa thought for a second before replying, "What about you?"

"I asked you first." Eunha knit her eyebrows together and took a step forward.

"You say it first."

Eunha didn't continue arguing and she replied, "I'm auditioning for the role of Concubine Xi."

". . ."

Coincidentally, the role Lalisa was auditioning for was Concubine Xi's maid.
