"If we draw away our assets from the daily profit as well as oliveranders it would cause a crash the only down side is it won't have much affect as its not the start of a new school year." Alina mumbled as she tapped her pen on a piece of paper that she making notes of who they could withdraw from.
Ideally, she wanted it to be something the ministry relied heavily on so that they could understand they were useless without the backing of the house of Potter.
Alina bit her bottom in lip, she knew what could be done that would make the ministry crumble. Only she didn't want to resort to that option.
Back when Hogwarts was being founded by the original founders they still needed help to establish the foundations of the castle. So many pureblooded families helped make the castle by embedding their magic as well as money into the castle and continue to do so today.
Only the Potters were the biggest funders in the last century with a over a million gallons being funded every year.
She knew if she withdraw this money and spoke to others to do the same it would cause a disruption the only thing she didn't want it to affect was the children.
She knew the ministry would be affected by this heavily as without a school no new people would join the ministry and soon that issue would become a huge one as they would be bombarded with work and have to sort out schools for these students to go to.
Alina knew she would have to get into contacts who were allies with the Potters or held some sort of alliance with the Black's.
She needed help.
She sat at her desk her head in her hands whilst she had a clear goal she wasn't sure exactly how to get there or if she wanted to get there as the price was too high.
She glanced down in the corner to Harry, who was playing with his toys when he stood up and stumbled over to her.
Alina smiled she picked Harry up and placed him on her lap.
He was the only piece of their legacy left behind, and she would rather die than allow something to happen to him.
"Pa."
Alina's smile vanished whilst she had thought about it before it never really set in. Harry was an orphan. A one year old who clung heavily onto James and Lily, didn't understand death. All he knew was that the people that had taken care of him had disappeared.
"Ma." Harry started to look around making Alina heart clench. He was a child. This shouldn't have happened.
It's when Harry started crying, trying to get out of Alina's grip which she presumed was to go and look for them.
Alina clung to Harry as she to allowed herself to cry, cry for the bitter unfairness of the world and cry for Harry. This world is cruel however she would be damned if she allowed him to enter it without a fighting chance.
- As Alina remained in her bubble in the town of Mystic Falls the people where confused.
The house Alina had taken had been unoccupied since all time everyone knew it belonged to some crazy rich family who never gave it up.
When the Mikaelsons first arrived they had tried to compel that house however remained unsuccessful.
It's why everyone was confused when lights started being turned on.
Caroline ever the investigator tried to find clues as to who could live there. However the Mikaelson drama got in the way and she had forgotten.
It's only when Rebekah mentioned they were going to also deliver an invitation to the house that Caroline asked to tag along.
She may not have liked the blonde original however she was curious.
-
It had been a few days since Harry's inevitable meltdown and Alina was still going through Allies.
Whilst she could contact the Malfoys as Narcissa was a black they had never agreed with one another on a political stand point.
She could try and reach out to her allies in France however she also knew they wouldn't really be able to help much except try and ensure a temporary placement for the children in their schools.
She would have to try and contact their families however that would only be if she is able to find enough allies to ensure this to happen.
A knock sounded from the door, as Alina got up to answer she opened the door seeing two blondes staring at her with a tight lipped smile.
She gathered they were arguing about something as their body language was facing away from each other and they both looked somewhat annoyed as she opened the door only for them to smile at her.
"Hi I'm Rebekah Mikaelson me and my family are new in town and we are hosting a ball here is an invite." Rebekah handed the invite over as Alina grabbed it smiling slightly.
"Thank you."
"I am Caroline Forbes." Caroline greeted before asking, "and you are?"
"Alina Potter."
"Nice to meet you." Caroline beamed at her.
"I hope to see you at the ball." Rebekah smiled.
"I'll be there." Alina assured, she knew sirius would kill her if she had been beating herself over him and trying to get him out and forgetting how live. Sirius was a selfish person and he expected others to be same.
He also knew that he had nothing to worry about, Alina would storm into askaban herself if it meant he could be released or have a trial.
