A loud voice suddenly pierced the quiet stillness of the dark living room, "Yooo bakubro!" A bright red glow flooded the space, illuminating the scattered remnants of late-night snacks and the flickering television screen.

Katsuki Bakugo lounged on the couch, his expression sour as he absentmindedly reached for a bowl of chips beside him. He cast a sideways glance at the source of the commotion and scowled, "Shut up, you're loud." His eyes narrowed as he registered the sight of his friend, Kirishima, half-naked, his wild red hair tousled and a wide grin plastered across his face. On one hand, Kirishima clutched a bulging bag filled to the brim with various snacks and drinks from another realm, while the other hand was already reaching for the chips.

Katsuki raised an eyebrow, irritation flickering in his gaze. "Where the hell is your shirt?" he demanded, astonishment crackling through his annoyance. Kirishima leaned back, laughing heartily, the sound filling the room with warmth. "I barely made it out alive! Kaminari wanted me to stay for one more round, so I sacrificed my shirt." He popped a chip into his mouth, crunching it loudly as he settled next to Katsuki.

"Fucking weirdo— anyways, is that damn Icyhot back in his shack?" Katsuki directed his question at the screen, tension creeping back into his posture as the movie began to roll in front of them.

Kirishima shook his head, his expression thoughtful. "No, but we heard from his older brother that he was quite interested in a human around these parts," he replied, trailing off as a hint of mischief glimmered in his eyes. After a moment's pause, he leaned closer, lowering his voice conspiratorially, "Does he have anything to do with... your lover?"

Katsuki's scoff was laced with annoyance. "Stupid Icyhot is trying to get to him," he grumbled, fixing his brooding gaze on the flickering screen. "Can't you just block the portals of this house? I mean— it'd create a barrier to keep him from entering..." His voice grew quieter, a hint of desperation creeping in.

Katsuki chuckled dryly, an annoyed expression crossing his features. "And how the hell would I do that?" he retorted. Kirishima shrugged, a blank stare aimed back at him, before offering a surprisingly unhelpful suggestion. "Ever tried a shaman ritual?"

"Demons don't do rituals like that for a reason!" Katsuki snapped, frustration bubbling to the surface. Kirishima threw his hands up in exasperation, "Wow! Bakubro— it still works either way! I mean, I could just help you back," he started, his enthusiasm dimming slightly as the weight of the conversation settled between them.

The air grew heavy with silence as Katsuki let out a resigned sigh, the glow from the television casting flickering shadows across his face. "I'll figure something out," he muttered, determination creeping into his voice, despite the uncertainty gnawing at him.

Kirishima broke the silence, his voice barely above a whisper, "Does Midoriya know that... Todoroki is a demon?"

Katsuki's shoulders tensed as he shook his head. "No, he doesn't. And I'd rather not risk it," he replied firmly, a protective undertone threading through his words.

Izuku let out a weary sigh as he shuffled over to his bed, the familiar ache in his back pulling at him like an unwelcome reminder of fatigue. With a resigned flop, he collapsed onto the soft mattress, the fabric cradling him in its embrace. He exhaled a frustrated huff, then extended his arm towards the ceiling, allowing the gentle morning light to dance over his fingertips. The sun's warmth seeped into the coolness of the dim room, creating a comforting contrast that enveloped him.
