I did not originally intend to stay that night, but as I peered up at him, the appeal was undeniable and I took his hand and allowed him to pull me up, "I will stay." I stood levelly with him in front of the couch.
Namjoon looked at his friends, then back to me, "Good. I promise I will behave. No messing around." He told me.
I smirked, my eyes twinkling, "And what if I want you to mess around?" I asked, intentionally teasing him to watch him blush.
The other two men still seated laughed at our exchange and Taehyung announced, "That might be an invitation, Joonie." I looked to the side and grinned at Taehyung, but said nothing, then regarded Namjoon again.
He blushed deeply once more, but shook his head, "No. I will be a gentleman." He stated, "Even if I don't want to be."
I laughed and retorted, "It's fine, Joonah. I don't think you could handle me, anyway." I winked at him and walked past him towards his room. He turned, following me, his eyes having gone a little wide, while the other two men laughed loudly.
Namjoon trailed me, and quickly caught up to me as we walked into the hallway. I felt him grab the material of my blouse, as if to slow me down and he moved up close to me, his body in full contact of mine, "Are you sure I couldn't handle you?" He asked me teasingly, in a low voice directly into my ear.
I laughed quietly as I stopped, allowing the contact, for a breath before responding, "Perhaps. But if you are going to be a gentleman, we won't know, will we?" I stated, resuming my walk.
Once in his room, I moved to sit on the bed and watched as he closed the door behind us, locking it. He announced, "Just in case."
I grinned at him and moved backwards on the bed to lean against the headboard. I asked, "Are you worried that I am going to molest you, Joonah?"
He shook his head, watching me from the place he stood, near the door, "No. Or maybe. I don't know." He said and lowered his head laughing, "I may know more about you now." He said as he looked back up at me, "But you are still a deeply unsettling woman. Or female." He explained, correcting himself.
I grinned and patted the space next to me, "Don't worry, Joonah. I won't bite you. I promise to behave."
He grinned back at me and walked forward, "If I ask you not to behave, will that change?" He wondered as he sat on the bed and scooted closer to me.
I snickered and shook my head, "You are adorable, Namjoon. Truly." I told him, my tone growing serious, "But I think you have more questions that you want answered, actually. I've been feeling them throughout the night circling in your mind. Anything else may have to wait."
Namjoon nodded and took my hand, folding his fingers with mine, intricately. "Yeah. That's true." He moved his head up and down, thoughtfully, "Will you be open with me?"
I considered him as I answered carefully, "As much as I may be. I will not be able to tell all." He nodded, accepting this and was silent for many moments. I waited patiently for him to speak, knowing his thoughts, but not wishing to intrude.
Tracing his thumb over the side of my hand, Namjoon began to speak, asking, "I already know you aren't human, but what are you? Are you an alien? Jimin suggested you were when meeting you at the accident."
I smirked at the edge of a laugh, "I'm sure that I look alien and my gifts may seem so." I told him, "But no. I belong to this earth." When he persisted in watching me, waiting for me to elucidate, I took a deep, steadying breath and looked down at our hands, "You could call me a fairy, or a nature spirit." I responded, as I released my breath.
