When the expected knock sounded from the other side of the front door, Jimin ran to answer it, "I got it!" He called throughout the rest of the house. The others stood or sat where they were, while Jungkook hurried to get Namjoon from the back of the dorm where he was sitting with Felina. Yoongi sat still, waiting on the couch and Jin leaned against the counter where he'd been talking with Hoseok and Taehyung, a pot of broth simmering on the stove.
Two males and one female walked into the main portion of the dorm, following Jimin. All three dressed in modern clothing, but looking out of place in the room. It was not the fact that they were tall, or looked inhuman, they simply seemed different with the taller of the two males seeming aloof yet still somehow wild, a degree of feral energy suffusing his body and seeping from his skin. All band members in the room stood from their previous positions, holding fast with questions and suspense evident in their body language.
Namjoon came out from the hallway, Jungkook following on his heels, and spied the three strangers. He held out his hand, offering a greeting with a serious expression on his face, "Hello. My name is Namjoon. I am Felina's boyfriend." He explained in English.
The shorter of the two males took Namjoon's hand with a small bow. He offered Namjoon their human names, rather than their native names, to further the welcome, "I am Daniel." He explained in Korean, then continued, gesturing to his companions, "This is Jaron and Melusine, our healers."
Namjoon shifted his eyes between the three and asked as he responded to Daniel in Korean, "Are you Felina's son?" He gazed at Daniel for a few seconds before his eyes deviated from the other male to the taller of the two. Jaron was at least three inches taller than himself, being the tallest in the room, and as Namjoon's eyes settled on him, he realized his mistake.
Offering his hand to Jaron in greeting, Namjoon found the attempt rejected as the other man did not take it. Instead, Jaron gave a crisp bow, and a feral smile, recognizing Namjoon's realization. It was almost as if he was presenting a threat, rather than offering a greeting. In heavily accented English he enunciated, responding to Namjoon's thoughts rather than his words, "She is my mother. Your assumption is correct. I will see her now."
Unsettled, Namjoon bowed in return to Jaron and spoke, "Uh. She's in the back." He informed the other male and turned to guide the three down the hall. As they disappeared into the back of the house, Taehyung and Jimin stared at each other for what seemed like long moments, until Jimin shook himself at the precipice of a faint shiver, and looked away from Taehyung towards the dark portal of the hallway. Seokjin, equally affected, finally closed his mouth, having stared at Melusine the entire time the introductions were being made. Jungkook, concerned for his hyung, followed after the group, as if to offer some sort of support or protection to his leader, with Yoongi making a close third. Hoseok did not move from his spot, almost as if he were the proverbial deer in the headlights. He, too, shook himself as if shaking off something particularly frightening, wondering what they had gotten themselves into.
The woman, Melusine, as Hoseok thought of her, was beautiful. As exotic as Felina, yet not as tall. Maybe close to Taehyung's height with golden blond hair that fell to her waist and curled around her face in loose tendrils. It was gathered up in a braid and swung in time to her walk. He recalled watching her as she walked away from the remainder of those who did not follow, her hips swaying, as her hair appeared to dance against her back. He shivered remembering her piercing light green eyes and shining skin, then looked over at Seokjin, who appeared even more shell shocked then he did. Seokjin had grown quiet, staring into the pot of broth as he stirred it.
Jimin whispered into the silence that had fallen over the room, "That guy Daniel seemed nice..." He said and paused, then continued with his voice barely above the whisper he had begun to speak in, "but that Jaron guy was scary." Taehyung agreed with his friend with a frown and a nod. He glanced at Jimin sideways, then saying nothing hurried after the group that had disappeared into Hoseok's room.
