Namjoon did not bother to look up as Jimin and then Jungkook left the room, using any excuse to leave. His emotions went from fear to shock, to numbness, to anger and back to fear again. He knew he was a mess and likely made the others nervous. He didn't know what to do for Felina and it was eating at him voraciously.
Felina softly moaned as her eyes fluttered open to gaze at Namjoon. Pain was evident in her eyes, and he settled the comforter back around her hips, so that he could look at the cut on her stomach. He spoke softly, "I'm sorry, but I need to look at this." He apologized as he slowly and carefully pulled her shirt up to look at the cut on her stomach. He winced at the cut that seeped blood. It was deep enough to possibly need stitches, but not deep enough to break through her stomach into her intestines. He reached for another towel at the bedside and gently pressed it into the wound, to stop the blood from leaking out.
It was her turn to wince as she gasped in pain, "You need to press a little harder, Joonah. It will hurt but I won't die." She told him, almost laughing at her own choice of words. She slowly licked her lips and continued, "I'm thirsty. Do you have water?"
Looking around Namjoon glowered fiercely at the contents of his room, "No. Um. I will get you some." He assured her and stood, then hesitated, "I don't want to leave you, though." He frowned down at her, apologetically, then looked up towards the open doorway. He gathered the air in his lungs and roared, "Jungkook! Bring a water bottle!"
Felina closed her eyes and took a shaky breath. Softly she spoke, "You can leave me long enough to get water, Joonah. It's okay." He looked down at her, with a pained expression on his face, then reluctantly turned towards the door with a brisk nod, saying nothing else.
Before he was able to take two steps, Jungkook showed up at the door, carrying an arm full of water bottles, his expression serious and earnest. He adjusted the bottles in his arms and maneuvered his grip, handing a bottle of water to Namjoon, then placed the others on the floor next to the bed. He saw that Felina was awake and tried to smile at her, but his emotions turned his smile to a grimace. His attempt to
reassure her didn't matter, though. His eyes told her all she needed to know. He was afraid of her, but also afraid for her. He knew what she was, and he didn't know what to think about that, but he wanted to support his hyung, so he was here and he wasn't going to let them down. Felina half smiled back at him, then closed her eyes briefly.Namjoon twisted the cap off of the water bottle in his hands and sat near Felina. He propped her up against his torso lightly and helped her to take a few sips of the water, then settled her back down. Looking up at Jungkook he asked, "Jin is boiling water?"
"Uh, yes. He's trying to fill a large pot from the kettle. So it's taking a little bit of time." Jungkook answered, "He's almost done, though."
Nodding, Namjoon looked back at Felina and moved her hair away from her face. She opened her eyes and gazed at him, taking his hand in hers. He frowned and held onto her firmly, gazing down at their joined hands, "You aren't supposed to be comforting me, Lina. I'm supposed to be taking care of you now."
Trying not to laugh, Felina closed her eyes again and responded weakly, "You know me well, Joonah."
"I do. I know you very well." He declared and used the hand that was not occupied with hers to smooth over her cheek, moving his fingers over the hairline and into her hair, "Your hair is tangled. I can brush it for you later." He offered.
"I would like that." She said as she tiredly closed her eyes again, "Very much."
Namjoon smiled softly and smoothed his hand over her hair, ignoring the tangles. He leaned forward and kissed her forehead gently and she hummed out a faint breath at the touch, her eyes remaining closed.
