Universal Pov:

The crowd watches as Roman Flickerman, the Hunger Games interviewer, announces half of the tributes for The Hunger Games.

"Welcome people of Panem, to the recap of 99th annual Hunger Games reapings! This half of the reapings did not disappoint. Let's start, shall we? In District 7 we have 14 year old  Aveline Barker and 12 year old Birch Ashford. Aveline volunteered for her best friend, Hazel who got reaped. As you can see on the screen now, Hazel is yelling at Aveline." He points the the large screen at the center of the stage as the video from the reaping is playing:

'You said you wouldn't volunteer this year! You promised!'

The screen continues to play Aveline walking onto the stage.

Roman continues, "I wonder what this could mean? Broken promises...?

Next in the list, District 8 with 13 year old Taylor Loom and 16 year old Patch Dressel.

In District 9, we had two criminals who have stolen from their district, and injured multiple of our beloved peacekeepers. These ruthless criminals have been put in this year's Hunger Games as punishment. These two criminals, both 15, are Zea Oatley and Leo Rye."

The screen plays fuzzy footage of Zea and Leo using their flint and steel to attack the peacekeepers and light the grain crops on fire.

"They are quite the fighters, as you can see on this brave peacekeepers body cam, Zea and Leo can fight very well with flint and steel.
I can't wait to see those two in action again, but in the arena this time." Roman winks and the live audience laughs.

"In District 10, we had twins, how exciting! Devon and Abilene Veal. Both 14. I wonder how this will play out? Sibling against sibling?

And in District 11, 12 year old Plum Brown and 15 year old Throne Almond.

You may remember Throne's sister, Branch, from last years Hunger Games. Mason Stone, last year's victor, killed Thorne's sister."

The screen plays footage of Mason throwing his spear at Branch from the previous Hunger Games. As Mason's spear meets his desired target, a smile spreads across his face. The screen then changes to Mason's most iconic moments in the Hunger Games: his pre interview, his final kill, and the victory tour.

The screen continues to play as Roman says, "I hear that Faith Stone, Mason's younger sister might be volunteering this year...I wonder if Thorne is out for Stone blood?

And finally in District 12 we had 15 year old Lilac Ravine, and 13 year old Clash Ebony. I think we have quite an interesting group of tributes so far this year. I'm so excited to find out our District 1-6 tributes! Tune in tomorrow to find out! I'm Roman Flickerman and that was your capitol update for the reapings of the 99th annual Hunger Games!"
