The summer flew by and it was time for Harper and I to leave and head to Wolf Lake. I finish bringing the last of my bags downstairs and I see Harper arrive at my house.
"Wolf Creek, Baby!" I hear Harper hoot as I open the front door to let her in.
As soon as our eyes connect we both release an 'eeeek!' Before embracing into a hug in the doorway.
We have always been in sync like that.
'I can't freaking believe today is the day!' She shrieks.
I turn around and pick up some bags and make my way to the car, Harper looks to my pile and brings the remainder of my things to her car.
It was hard not to pack everything, but I managed to pack my clothes and some sentimental items that will get me through the next few months at least, before I come back to visit Grandma for Christmas.
It was time to say goodbye to Grandma, "I'm going to miss you grandma." I start.
"Take care of yourself. I know your mama would be so proud." My grandmother says as she holds my cheeks.
"I will be back for Christmas, take care of yourself hey." I remind her.
I kiss my grandma before hopping into Harper's car.
Wolf Lake isn't too far from Edgewood, at least a two hours drive. I can't believe I haven't visited before considering how close it is.
Upon arriving at the school. We parked the car and excitedly set our way for administration.
I have never been to Wolf Lake before, but it instantly feels like home.
The lady in administration looked us up on the computer, "I'm sorry girls, but you are not in the same room.." she says as I give Harper as saddened look.
"..BUT you are right across from each other!" We looked at each other and squeal. We knew the chances of us sharing was slim but to get right across the hall from each other was awesome.
We spent the afternoon moving our stuff to the dorm room.
After spending some time setting our rooms up Harper appeared in my door. "You hungry, babe?" Harper asked.
"Starved!" I exaggerated holding my stomach.
We made our way out of campus to a street mall a few streets away, we stop at the first food place we see, a pizza shop.
